Ridiculous line-up and we've been punished for it. The goal came from Pugh getting skinned yet again and Griffin losing his man on the far post. We've offered nothing going forward and it's hardly surprising with Cresswell and Sidibe (who admittedly has done ok) in attack.
I won't defend him any longer. This is not fucking good enough Pulis and you alone could have cost us promotion.

Have to say from the evidence of the Preston, QPR, Burnley, Watford, Blackpool, Sheff Wed games and tonight - he's fucking blown it BIG style. Much more painful to throw it away than never having it at all.

Bloody hell Homzy, wouldnt expect that coming from you, the line up did baffle me to say the least, that moses and sinclair should have been put in the stand in the first few minutes, then they would have gone awol for the rest of the game, but I think teams can see how 1 dimensional we are, cut that out and we have nothing, even with fuller in my opinion !

Totally agree LiverpoolStokie, his big decisions today and recently have been badly wrong.
We only have Pulis to blame if we fail to go up this season.

I've defended him time and time again in the past but I won't do it again after tonight, I just can't believe what he's done.
Ask 20,000 people who they'd play at left-back out of Dickinson and Pugh and one would say the latter - Tony Pulis.
Ask 20,000 people who they'd play up front out of Fuller and Sidibe and one would say the latter - Tony Pulis.
Ask 20,000 people who they'd play, on current form, at right-back out of Wilkinson and Griffin and one would say the latter - Tony Pulis.
Ask 20,000 people who they'd play at centre-half out of Shawcross and Cort and one would say the latter - Tony Pulis.
Ask 20,000 people who they'd put on the right in the absence of Lawrence and only one would say Cresswell - Tony Pulis.
He'll probably bring Fuller on at 46 and we might get something but why the fuck do we have to put up with this every week? He has officially lost my confidence.

Dunno about the line up but half the players dont seem too arsed. God knows whats happened to them - you'd have thought they'd be busting a gut for the chance to play in the premiership next season

As one of TPs biggest fans, I have to admit that tonight with selections, he's possibly cost us automatic promption, and unles he suddenly becomes attack minded, we WON'T go up. I am gutted, chokes, and very, very disappointed.

I'm baffled at the line-up and very disappointed. We can forget about the top two now, we need another three points to secure the play-offs I think and it will be up the TP to lift the lads for that, but the momentum is very much with the likes of Palace and Wolves now.

Homzy - spot on, youth. The man takes being a stubborn bugger to new heights. He is almost perverse in his determination to do things his own way.
If we play something like this team for the last 4 games, we may just stand a chance of actually winning one or two of them:
Nash
Wilkinson Shawcross Riggott Dickinson
Lawrence Whelan Delap Gallagher/Pearson
Ameobi/Bothroyd Fuller

I'm not going to get out of my pram tonight, but I do think there have been a few glaring selection mistakes tonight. Griff , apart from the first goal being out of position had a fair game considering how poor he has been of late. But Danny Pugh is no fucking left back, and we all know Griff is a better left back.
For me starting line up should have been.
Nash
Wilko Cort Riggot Griff/Dicko
Gally Whelan Delap Pearson
Fuller Bothroyd
Subs:
Simmo Dicko/Griff Shawcross Ameobi Mama

I know what you are all saying but I for one aren't ready to give up just yet - and I hope the players don't follow your leads and decide that it is all over.
Fuller might not have lasted the full game if he has been ill recently so I don't think that was a bad decision. However, Griff is better at left back and pugh was out of his depth. Main prob for me was on the wings - we missed lawrence and we all know that Cresswell is no winger.
But the luck was with palace tonight - everytime the ball bounced around in their box and straight in to the keepers' hands.

Pulis might kid himself that we lost the game due to bad luck but the truth is that we lost it because half of our defence is a joke, our right 'winger' can't beat a man and our striker on the pitch isn't a tenth of the one on the bench.
And this illness sprung up quickly, didn't it? I thought Fuller was raring to go earlier today, no mention of any illness then.

It's a silly argument, though, Potters. He's done fantastically well to get us into this position so does that mean we should carry on congratulating him on the back as his mistakes continue to cost us.
Regardless of how well he has done for the first 41 games, I will look back on this season and say he cost us promotion if he doesn't start with his strongest team on Saturday.
I praise just as quickly as I do criticise and see no possible way that anyone can defend what TP did tonight. And that's coming from a staunch TP supporter.

How the fuck has tony pulis cost us promotion? Who's got us to this position? Are we mid table? dickheads!! One win in eight, five goals in nine games, 7 points out of 24 and you can still only direct your anger at supporters. How far does the dildo have to be rammed up your arse before you say "ouch"? We had got ourselves into a wonderful position (after spending a small fortune to do it) but now we're throwing it all away. It doesn't make anyone a dickhead to point out the truth (though some are going too far in their criticism) but I do worry for those who deny what is happening and try to bury their heads in the sand.
