4PM UPDATE: PULIS KEEPS CARDS CLOSE TO HIS CHEST Be the first reader to comment on this story
TONY Pulis admits it will be a late decision between Ricardo Fuller and Richard Cresswell to partner Shola Ameobi in City?s attack against Crystal Palace tonight (8pm).
Fuller is back from a two-match ban to increase Stoke?s options as they seek the victory that will catapult them two points clear at the top of the Championship.
But Pulis was sufficiently impressed with Cresswell?s overall effort at Sheffield Wednesday last time out to consider keeping Fuller up his sleeve to unleash on tiring defenders.
?Ric has trained really well in the last couple of days, but he hasn?t played for three weeks,? said Pulis.
?It?s a nice selection problem to have and not one I?m losing sleep over because you?d much rather have it this way.
?It will be a late decision. I?ve already spoken to Ric and he?ll be happy whether he starts on the field or on the bench. You know Ric ? every day is Christmas Day for him.?
Elsewhere, Pulis will keep Palace guessing over whether it?s ex-Eagle Leon Cort or Ryan Shawcross at centre-half, while Carl Dickinson and Danny Pugh are in a tug-of-war for the left-back shirt.
Stoke are anticipating another healthy turnout at the Britannia tonight ? notwithstanding the timing and live TV coverage on Sky ? and Pulis is again appealing for the help of fans.
?It?s just three home games to go now,? he said, ?and I just appeal to everyone who can make it to get down here tonight and give the lads their best.
?We?re so close now and in an excellent position, but there?s still a lot of hard work in front of us. Please come and get behind the players.?

This is surely mind games, with so few games to go he needs to give the Ameobi and Fuller partnership the maximum amount of time to gel anything else would be foolish.

It's about time we stopped admiring hard work and overall effort and looked at a players likelyhood of hitting the back of the net.
Has to be Fuller and Shola for me. We can bring the hrd workers on when we are 3-0 up.
