Might work well if we supply them with crosses and have both wingers on.
If we don't then I despair.

Jones needs a rest/dropping.
People say Fuller's been off-colour, and he has. But he's never looked as insipid and disinterested as Jones consistently has
Can only assume Fuller is really in the bad books as he's a natural foil for Carew.

It can't be anything else, can it? We're paying too much for it to be anybody else.
We need both wingers playing.

With Pennant and Etherington on the wings that could be a very good partenership

Might do OK against Liverpool. A lot will depend on whether Kenwyne can be arsed to play or not. I really don't see them as a long term partnership but if Jones decides running might be an idea it could be alright. If he's in one of his "I'm not moving" moods again then I would hope he may get a rest on Saturday (although TP will probably make him captain due to the opposition!

If both Pennant and Etherington play then it could work. Carroll is out injured and apparently Suarez hasn't recieved his work permit yet so will make his debut on Sunday, don't know how much truth is in that but that leaves them thread-bare up front with Kuyt and N'Gog as options.

I don't really think playing 2 relatively immobile big lads, who don't complement each other, is ever the answer, whether you play with 2 wingers or not.
The slight extra % of danger you create from set-pieces and on the odd occasion you get a dangerous delivery in are balanced out by the lack of mobility and threat on the break in open play.
