I remember losing 6-0 at Blackburn in the days of Alan Ball, and we sang Alan Balls Red and White Army for the full 45 minutes of the second half
Fair play, there was nothing else to sing about, but wouldnt it be great tomorrow night if we had a Tony Pulis Red and White Army ringing round the Brit for a full 45 minutes to show the lads and the boss our appreciation for the efforts they have put in to get us in this position, pausing only to cheer when the goals go in

Everywhere we go, (everyone) People i know, (everyone) Shall we tell 'em, (everyone) Where we come from, (everyone) Who we are, (everyone) We are the city, (everyone) We're the mighty, mighty city, (everyone) We are the army, (everyone) We're the barmy, barmy army,(everyone) We're Tony Pulis barmy army, Tony pulis barmy army,(repeat)
Very similar to that anyway. Must admit it's my very song at the moment but very rarely sung. Someone sing the first part of each line and everyone repeats it. Sounds great when done right and goes on for ages.

I first heard it on the coach to Barnsley. I get so fed up with the 'go on stoke, go on stoke' 'city 'till i die'. Think that's half the problem with atmosphere down stoke. No new good songs coming through, like the one above. 'oh when the reds' sang slowly sounds good at the moment, but again everyone just speeds it up after one verse.

Why would it be "great" to sing the manager's name?
I seem to remember us winning a major cup, reaching a couple of major cup semi-finals, being in Europe and competing at the top of English football without anyone feeling the need to sing about anything but the players on the pitch.
The first time you heard Waddo's name sung at matches was "Waddington Out!"
Why not concentrate on inspiring the players instead of these regular demands to sing the manager's name when people are clearly reluctant to do so?
It's about the club and the players.

Its the barmy army song, but with a few changes to it. Its pretty much what sportsman wrote, and it would sound brilliant if everone joined in

Well I suppose that is the problem that even though we are second in the league even though there is a distict possiblity to could be going into the last 4 matches of the season top of the league there are people who still think TP is not worthy of his name being sung. I can't get my head around ot really for what he has achieved from the team this season he should have his name ringing out so they can hear it up here in Coyney on a match day.

Never said anything about only singing the managers name. I was on about getting good songs going to create an atmosphere that will inspire the players to put on a performance and above all else, get three points.
Pretty sad that i, and others have to make a request for this when sitting in the top two!

Though when a red and white army chant gets going it is like electricity. I still remember on a cold Monday night playing Vale in the FA cup the second half for almost 20 minutes the Lou Macari mantra was amazing just wish we could get that sort of thing going again.

Lou was Stoke City back then though Sidders.
He was all personality and charisma and something to hold onto in a mainly rag-tag collection of unheard of players no one had heard of. Steino became the exception and his name was sung as much as Lou's.
It should be a bit different now we have a multi-million pound squad that is one of if not the most expensively assembled groups in the league.
Super Tone isn't Lou when it comes to being the charismatic center of attention. Thats not a criticism it is just a difference.

Anyone who can't bring themselves to sing the managers name at a time like this when songs doing so make up a decent proportion of our increasingly limited repertoire, really is an utter disgrace.

That said Mark we were close to the top of the league most of the season when the millions had not been spent and the squad was still wafer thin. I know there is a hell of a difference between Lou and TP but his achievement thus far deserves a terrace recognition.

He will get his recognition when he gets us promotion as I am confident he will.
Please explain why it is so important for a few of you to insist we belt out his name at matches.
What difference do you think it makes? Sing the players names who are on the pitch!
Why this small group of you cannot understand that TP does not inspire song in amongst Stokies I don't get. He just isn't that sort of manager. Why can't you let it go?

I am not saying it is such an important issue I just think that the Red and White army chant when going is superb and lifts the whole ground it has been years since this has happened and I reckon has led in some ways to the sterility to the atmosphere. As you said yourself when we were behind Lou it was because we believed in him and I just think we should maybe believe in TP for these last 5 games.

So in that case mark, if there isn't a need to sing Tone's neame during 90 minutes as he not important, why is there a need after 91 mins to slate him? If all the importance is on the players, why is he always being moaned at by gob-shites? If it is because he picks the team that goes out on the pitch, he is therefor important, and deserves the credit for where he has got us, and so can also have his name sung along with the players.
When else do you want us to sing his name, in the bath!!!

I don't recall Fergie's name being chanted much.Or Wenger's. Or Benitez's. The fact of the matter is, the Pulis Youth simply won't let the rift heal while we all focus on cheering the team on to promotion. They instead prefer to constantly dig up the 'Pulis issue' in some playground game of 'nah nah nee nah nah told you so'. Well lads, it just shows where your true motivation lies. And it isn't with supporting the club. Oh and, by the way, you've told us nothing yet because Pulis has achieved nothing yet.

You cheer the team to promotion! Fuck Kinnell, you're having a laugh! All you do is moan! Take it you watch match of the day with the sound down if you don't hear Wenger or Benitez' name being sung? Why don't you like the Pulis issue dug up then? Is it because he has pissed you off and not got us relegated after all, but instead got us into the top two? Didn't predict that did you kinnell? We all said that Pulis will turn this season around and get us into the top six. Where did you predict?

US FANS Us fans always support the team and will continue to do so. I have already got my season ticket for next year regardless of the division. I am no more a fan of TP than any other manager we have ever had whilst I have been supporting Stoke, I love the red and white army mantra's they have stuck in my mind when ever they have been sung as well as the Macari ones I also remember the Durban ones too and would love to hear the brit go for it for 10 - 15 minutes would sound awsome regardless of issues I mean even if you dunna like him just sing the Red and White army bits.

That's what's behind all this, yohy: spite, vindictiveness and girlie hairpulling at a hime when we all need to be focused on the club's success, not pathetic playground squabbling.
I've even made up with Mumf!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
