Looking forward to an amazing 10 day Stoke fest.....I expect 1) Tone to pick our strongest team and easily roll over our staffs rivals and give the Stokies in Staffs the bragging rights...rd 5 and just 2 games from Wembley, where incidentally we are unbeaten! 2) Tone takes a cue from a few teams this season who have not be overawed by an ordinary Liverpool team. Tone plays 2 wingers and we give Liverpool poor fullbacks a torrid time and we post a first win at Anfiled in a zillion years. I take the piss out of my scouse relatives until next season. 3) Stoke v Sunderland is a feast of carpet football Fuller scores the winner in a thriller in the last minute 4) Dealine day arrives and at the last hour the manager pulls off a couple of dream signings and I dont mean Kovac and Jerome. It should make the bill of over £800 easier to pay when the credit card statement turns red. Even so 3 matches and a Northern all nighter at Blackpool on saturday to look forward too.

Cheers Roots.....Its great to be back in good ol SOT. yep the allnighter in Blackpool should be good and have a few familiar faces. TBH not that fussed about what quality of the games will be just the chance of 3 games is worth the money, surely we can pull at least one result

Absolutely great post. Very uplifting. Makes me think I take living locally for granted. I'm a real optimist, and you cannot beat the matchday experience whatever league we're in. A few pints, the game, shout yourself hoarse, a few more pints with your mates, perfect day.
You'll really enjoy it, win, lose or draw. If we draw or lose you'll obviously be disappointed for a while, but at least you'll be with the lads in red and white again. And if we win...
Great trip all round, unbelievable commitment, and good luck to you. May you enjoy your whole experience - long after tonight is all over?

Taught I had a bit of a trek over from Dublin for the Sunderland! Hope you enjoy your trip and hopefully it'll be a good atmosphere and result.

I sure am a Steely fan Cousin.....I also like Northern how spooky is that, I thought I was the only one with such diverse tastes. Have a great trip and may all the wishes in your original post come true. I wonder why you chose 'Cousindupree' - a song about a middle aged man with an unhealthy yearning for a young relative ??
Keep the faith H.L.
