Day in the life of your average Stokie.
Wot a day!
Up at 6:00, Three Tuns at 7:30, coach leaves 8:00. OK so far.
Driver hasn't got a effin clue where he's going & Michelle on stat nav is talking in chinese.
1:10 mins into journey & we're heading towards Uttoxeter again!
Cross the Thames 4 times & park nowhere near the ground or a pub.
Find pub(2) - soapy, cloudy crap beer, move on, same again. Thrown out of pub (2) for a resounding rendition of Delilah - then £4 a pint in the ground.
Oh ell, the match starts. 10 mins in & it looks like a horror show.
Get home 21:30. Can't believe we're last on MOTD again & frankly too scared to watch it.
However, found my lost Stoke cap so all's well that ends well!

I didn't go to Chelsea or ManUre and I won't be going to Liverpool, isn't funny that the teams with the most fans the biggest capacities and that regularly win the most prize money, are the very teams that want to charge the most too!

I spend at least €200 at least on every match I travel over to which would be 4 or 5 tims each season. Stop complaining my last match I went to at home vs Blackpool the cost for flights, taxi's, beer (lots) food was nearer 300.

Don't go is the easy answer. You knew before you went, round about what it would cost you-bet you weren't moaning after Spurs last season,or West Brom this??

The bad away games/performances make the good ones even more special and after yesterday you do question why you spend so much money following the club but if its your passion thats what you do and i'll be there at the custard bowl Sunday with the same optimism as usual.

But isn't that because they win the trophies, in europe etc etc?!
You pay for the 'priveledge', and i would dare say that Chelsea, ManUre and Liverpool's running costs are a darn sight higher than ours due to them being at a higher level. Higher level = more expensive.
Oh, and i'm in no way suggesting Liverpool should charge £40, that's extortionate. But just suggesting why they have to....

watching football has always been a gamble if you want entertainment for your money. Exactly, take for example the Leicester City fans who spent their money on tickets, travel, food and drink for their trip to The Britannia stadium in 2008. Could have been an amazing, brilliant, memorable day where they avoid relegation, and stick around to maybes enjoy a joint celebration as we're promoted. Turns out however, that it's one of the worst, if not the worst days of their football supporting life, absolute disaster and tears were shed. Us getting promoted at the same time, just rubs noses in it more and more. See, you pays your money, you takes your chance, that's football/sports for you.

What else could you do with the money for a day out ? Could spend more, could spend less. Could do more, could do less. Plenty of alternative options.
