Well he ain't going to get fit sitting on the bench is he? So you'd drop arguably our fitest player, ahead of someone who isn't fit Define fittest? Because I have seen Rory's legs give up on him several times this season. Football matches arn't a bike ride I'm afriad.

Well he ain't going to get fit sitting on the bench is he? it doesnt work like that though does it? Why not start him and see how long he lasts. Its not like he doesn't track back or anything. Delap on the right or left is baffling and basically its making one of our most honest players look like a twat.

Genuine question. yeah i have, its you! you are a fucking problem, how do you manage to get dressed in the morning all by yourself? or do you have a helper? delap is our fittest player, you have seen his legs give up probably because hes covered every single blade of grass on the fucking pitch

Delap on the right worked well against Bolton. Plus with Pennant not exactly impressing against Cardiff, TP was probably hoping Delap in the team would bring the same result as Bolton. (All guess work of course)

why are you using facts? i thought this thread was designed to slag pulis and his decision making off, facts are not allowed ok lets do some facts then! 1) playing carew and Kj as he did yesterday means our only realistic chances of scoring are from crosses and set pieces 2) not playing pennant and taking off ethers and tunny means theres no one to cross the ball and take the set pieces! please explain to me the logic behind that as i am not the sharpest tool in the shed

As for covering every blade, you may be right, I mean giving the ball away and then doing absolutely nothing to attempt to retrieve it must take a lot out of you. Or, would it be the looooong treck's all over the pitch to take throw in's? Fittest player? Don't make me laugh, it's a fallacy* caused by his great positional sense. * www.google.co.uk/search?sclient=psy&hl=en&q=define%3A+fallacy&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&pbx=1

People seem to think we should play the same 11 in every game as if it doesn't matter who the opposition are. If you think it's because TP hasn't realised we're more of an attacking threat with Pennant on the right rather than Delap then your deluded.
In some games, playing with two out and out wingers will leave us stretched in the middle. Some games we will want to congest the central areas. You don't have to agree with it, but I'd hazard a guess that it's the reason (along with Pennants fitness)

I understand that age had a massive part to play in ability deterioration, but Rory was never the most technically gifted player at our club to start with, and to say he was the best player in a Blue Stoke top yesterday is unfathomably ridiculous, even with the poor showing of the rest of the team. Being fit is not about reaching your destination, but reaching it in time. Something that he is managing less and less frequently lately.

delap and pennant are 2 different players who have different skills and strengths - pulis picks what he needs No he doesn't, who he plays depends on whether he in one of his over cautious periods or not. I think he might have depression or something he goes through these black periods for no known reason. Rory on the right is less effective than Pennant 30% fit, its a total bollox decision. PS Rory has attributes, if he has skills he keeps them well bloody hidden.

Delap on the right instead of Pennant or Walters is really annoying! I've said it before that Delap is only suited to play in the middle! If not he should be among the subs!

Pulis needs a fucking for hanging Rory out to dry on the right yesterday when we had the likes of Pennant, Tunny and Walters available to play in that position.
It was worse than that though as Pulis' brainwave for yesterday was actually to play Rory on the left with Ethers on the right. What a fucking masterstroke that was!
Rory is no right midfield player but once again he made a decent fist of it. He covered for Wilko well, played two sublime through balls (one which Tuncay fluffed and one which clumsy KJ failed to control), filled in for 5 minutes at centre half then did an excellent job at right back.
Rory was one of our better performers yesterday despite being hung out to dry, again, by his manager.
The real question is why the fuck has Pulis decided to break up a team that was on a very good run with Rory and Deano in the middle, Pennant and Ethers wide and Fuller and KJ up front.
It is rank stupidity and led to arguably our worst performance of the season.

Fuck knows...it's totally unfathomable to me. This fear of playing wingers is the single most annoying Pulis-ism of the several that he regularly exhibits. I quite like Rory in centre midfield, but he's embarrassingly slow out-wide and offers us no outlet. He's not even as good at tracking back as Pennant is. I'd defy any of the Pulis-arse-licking cretins on here to offer one valid reason as to why this is a good idea. They won't though...they'll just say "we're 9th For fucks sake" or "How many coaching badges have you got" or "Please Tony, unload your hot spunk down my throat". 100 % agree! ;D

Didnt Pennant get subbed against Cardiff due to an injury?? Could be wrong but I thought that when he was walking off TP gestured to him as if to say 'whats the problem?'

I can sort of see why he went with rory over pennant as it would mean changing a winning team from the bolton game, however, to start rory on the left and ethers on the right was fucking pathetic!! at half time when we were abysmal changes should have been made
