Shown to the best manager we have ever had (All things considered)
It's such an easy game when your a supporter, "Just put out the best eleven" Regardless of how well they have been training, or are carrying knocks, or have personal issues or the team your playing against and the tactics they will use or how many games you have in a week. Does it ever occur to you amateur managers out there in SOT that the same team yesterday have beaten much better teams in the past, and maybe yesterday they just didn't do as they were told or just had an off day, it happens; get over it.

Stoke-on-Trent has more than it's fair share of numpties who think of nothing other than themselves.
Unfortunately, a few of them post on this board.

The gap is closing with every season. A cup win for TP and the gap would be very small indeed. I know a cup win is a big ask, but wouldn't it be wonderful for us older fans to share the joy of 1972 with this new, wonderful fan base we have.

And this makes him what...invincible does it free from any criticism because what he got us to the prem so is allowed to make some of the dumbest choices to squad selection and decides to slip back to negative bullshit that has followed him throughout his management.
Maybe Tony should actually think of the fans that went to Fulham and then think of the disrespect he showed to them by putting out a team that gave up before they even started.
Respect can work both ways.

It's the other way round. Not trying in the cup and the negative crap we saw yesterday shows total disrespect to supporters.
Pulis will NEVER displace Waddo in our affections because Waddo gave us sides designed to entertain. The man loved football and flair players, intelligent inside forwards especially. Pulis is the opposite. That's why whatever Pulis does statistically he will never ever be respected and loved like Waddo.
As Daftburger says, this thread shows total disrespect to our best ever manager.

Tony Pulis has been a very successful manager for Stoke.....inspite of his style of football being the most depressing I have witnessed in many a year.

Surely only none supporters of Stoke City would not be alarmed by that performance. After spending £72 million you'd think we'd have a leftback that can defend and a midfielder that can pass, Fulham passed 545 times, 413 successful, Stoke passed 314 times, only 183 successful. 183 times in 94 mins of play.

t p's not everyone's fav manager but some of you just dont know when your on to a good thing Along with PC, he's done wonders for the club no doubting that. He is unpopular with football lovers because he is so anti- football. He's done a good job but that does not exempt him from critisism, recently he's not using the tools available to their best effect, his mentality keeps slipping back into league one. Real fans need to remind him when this happens.

i think some people on here still think this is our first season in the premierleague. Its not, weve been here nearly three years now and weve got the players to go to struggling teams like fulham and go for it. Were on 30 points ffs, 9th in the league....we should be goin to teams like fulham, wigan, wolves etc and showing them why we are a top half side. Im not anti pulis at all, but some just think he can do NOTHING wrong. Well yesterday proved that hes still got a lot to learn, and some way to go to earn the respect of many stokies. Just imagine if we had just gone for it yesterday, all out attack after wed gone a man down. we may have shocked fulham, pinned them back, created a few chances. We may have conceded a few more goals doing this, but the players would be cheered off the pitch like heroes, the fans would be together for the next game, and other teams would be thinking theyd better not lie down with stoke. Instead they just gave up(or pulis gave up),showed no interest at all in even trying to get back in the game.Total disrespect for the stokies who travelled down there, sang there hearts out, and spent alot of money(that alot dont really have) in the process.

If you look at this thread about 50% agree and 50% disagree it doesn't matter what team, tactics , style of play pulis decides not every one is not going to agree. We are where we are and as a supporter you should just enjoy the moment and the league that we have all craved so much to be in. City till I die no matter what league or manager we have!!!

So because i respect and like pulis and think he's equally as good a manager as waddington was (different styles maybe but equally as effective) and also been a st holder for 20 odd years then that dont make me a REAL fan?

Also, wasn't waddo known for his "wall"? It took a few years of defensive building before the "flair" players arrived.... Or so people tell me! In the immortal words of Durban.... "If you want entertainment...."
