Alright Folks.
I'm currently going through the process of having 4 unauthorised transactions on my itunes account to the sum of £150, cancelled as my account has been hacked.
I'm just seeing if any fellow Stokies have had the same issues and how/if it was resolved. Any information would be brilliant.

I had unauthorised iTunes purchases on my credit card thanks to some twat who'd taken my card details in a restaurant but they used their own iTunes account - I just got the bill.
It looks like someone may have your iTunes username\password as I can't see how you'd be seeing the tranactions in iTunes otherwise.

Yeah i reckon somehow my account has been hacked. Ive not had my card stolen or anything, and I haven't given my details out to anyone.
Were you able to cancel and reclaim the amount?

What a fucking idiot. Why not just torrent whatever he stole from you? Eh? Why steal someone's credit card to use for itunes credit when the commodity he bought (music) can be downloaded (via torrents) for free? Punishment for CC fraud = criminal record and possible prison bummings. Punishment for downloading music = YOU'LL NEVER GET ME IN THE SLAMMER!

The items purchased were vouchers, 5 of them each priced £25. It wasn't from my credit card, it was directly from my iTunes account.

That is some heavy duty mentalism. The reality is of course, a few people get their arses tanned to try to disincentivise other downloaders. I'm not sure how the law works in the age of the internet but UK law can only punish to the extent of the financial extent of the crime. It was for this reason the bank charges shitstorm started. I think now though, a UK citizen could be tried under US law if a US company owned the rights to the music. Regardless, if I were working in a restaurant and was dying to get hold of the S Club, Boyzone, Westlife and Take That reissues (which I am), the easiest way to do that, with lowest chance of getting caught is internetting the bitches. I enjoyed Gene Simmons' approach to it: "Sue everybody. Take their homes, their cars."
