Evening all - thought i'd pop over and see what your board was like, and by the looks of it it's busy! Fair play to you for having such a passionate fan base - this season has seen me visit some big clubs and their forums are dreadful in terms of support, this makes a refreshing change! Putting my despise for Pulis to one side, I am looking forward to the 19th very much simply because it is shaping up to be the biggest game of both of our seasons! I'm really looking forward to visiting the Brit as well, 'cos I think you may be surprised at how much noise 2800 City fans can make! ;D Which way it will go, nobody knows, but if we both keep picking up the points in the mean time I think the 19th could be the decider for who goes up automatically and who gets play-offs. I have a sneaky suspicion that West Brom are going to win their Game in hand and start getting back on form for the run-in (and go up as champions providing they can beat Watford), so I put the second place down to either us or yourselves. Anyway, enough of my ramblings, I'll be hanging around for a couple of weeks, so I look forward to joining in with the discussion.

Welcome!
Massive game and the team that wins it SHOULD make the top two imo.
Methinks you give the baggies too much credit - they have tough games left with Watford and the dingles just two of them!
Pity our game is on sky as I'm sure it would have been our largest gate of the season - still expect 20k though.

Thanks for the warm welcome chaps! Methinks you give the baggies too much credit Hmmm, I hear what you are saying, especially with their recent form - however after going up to West Brom on Boxing Day and watch them take us apart, I still maintain they are one of the most impressive outfits we have played this season in terms of organisation. Unfortunately for them they are inconsistent, but if they get that back I think they could clinch it, especially if they beat Watford.

Agree with Boobies West Brom getting too much credit and would rather have to play them than yourselves, Watford or Hull again.

The problem with this league is that nobody has been consistent!! If the reading team that one promotion a few years back were here now, they'd get 100+ points just for their consistency!! The baggies team that came our place were woeful just as we have been woeful at times. Hear what you are saying but I think with their cup run, they have other things to concentrate on.

Hear what you are saying but I think with their cup run, they have other things to concentrate on. To be honest that's what I am hoping! Recent interviews with Mowbray indicate that they are concentrating on the cup which doesn't make sense to me, however if that's the case then all the better for us and yourselves. I still have a sneaking suspicion though that they could come good at the very end. We'll see though. While I'm here can I ask your advice of where the best place to park safely is (for away fans) at your place? I've been told that the car park is a no-no, so any advice will be welcome.

KMP The away supporter car park is surrounded by fencing and is ok. If there's a lot coming I'd get here early as it aint too big.

It'll be pretty busy but I park at Hem Heath Cricket Club (up past Powerleague then past the stoke academy) - home and away fans mingle happily and they usually have a guest beer or two on.
If too busy, you can park on powerleague too.

Street Parking in the Boothen area or even West End (google it....) is best for speed make sure theres no colours showing (sadly) & its a good 25/30 min walk but parking @ the Brit with anything above 15000 is a nightmare.
anyway for the record I think Stoke will win the title & WBA come second by winning their last 3 games

Thanks for the tips re parking chaps. I've been told to avoid the ground parking due to congestion after the game which results in a greater likelihood of you being 'noticed'.

Has the potential to be a very interesting day IF Norwich beat the Baggies (Carrow road) Sheff Utd beat Hull (Bramall lane) and watford fail to beat Palace (Vicarage Road) There might be a chance we can watch our game relatively stress free!
Really looking forward to this game though obviously ;ots can happen between now and then! Any slips at this stage and a three point gap suddenly looks MASSIVE!

Well I must say it's refreshing to be on a rivals board where it hasn't degenerated into a slagging match before the end of page 1! She lives in the same district that I work - and if I told you/her where I work (or more importantly who I work for) she prob wouldn't believe me!

Hellu!

With Pulis it runs very deep (considering what he did to our club), so naturally it manifests itself against the clubs he manages, which could be anybody. So for me personally I have never had anything against Stoke, but unfortunately for others it gets out of control and is part of the reason the fights and trouble breaks out.
