Underneath the picture is where you're looking people.... news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/stoke_city/7326527.stmOn-loan striker Jay Bothroyd says he wants Stoke to secure promotion to the Premier League in style by winning four out of their last five games. Bothroyd arrived at the Britannia Stadium on loan from Championship rivals Wolves in March. He told BBC Radio Stoke: "We don't want to just scrape it, we want to get promoted convincingly. "The gaffer wants that from us as well, so we are all pulling in the same direction." As well as the addition of Bothroyd, Stoke's promotion push has been aided by the arrivals of midfielder Stephen Pearson from Derby and Newcastle striker Shola Ameobi. "Shola's a quality player," said Bothroyd. "He's a targetman who holds up the ball well and he's got a good touch. He's a great acquisition for the squad." Bothroyd will be competing with Ameobi and the returning Ricardo Fuller for a place in the starting 11 when the Potters meet Crystal Palace at the Britannia Stadium on Monday.

Must be a mistake?
You'd think McCarthy would be on the phone as soon as his initial month's up (after the Cov match?) now we're much more directly in competition with them.
Maybe that's the only way Gallagher's going to get on the bench again this season.

Unless it's one of these loans where a permanent has already been agreed.
