Just been offered a freebie ticket for tomorrow night by a friend (in the Utd end though). Do I accept? - I mean a match is a match, or turn it down 'cos quite frankly, watching the game in enemy territory sitting on my hands doesn't appeal at all.

il say turn it down , cant stand being around 70,000 scumbags celebrating a goal (cant see us keeping a clean sheet) and what if we score ? you'll be desperate to jump up

Well go in the Stoke end then, don't think it's sold out. If you don't want to pay, then accept the ticket. I've sat in the home end loads of times, it's really not that bad.

it doesn't bode well if you like seeing us lose and if we nick a point or win, you are equally as mute....personally, i'd leave it unless you fancy seeing the inside of OT that much

A chance to see your team for free? Why would you turn it down. I've sat in the home ends loads as I've already said and it's not that bad. It's actually quite interesting seeing it from the opposition's point of view, and when we score that last minute winner, you can celebrate anyway

You wouldn't even have to sit on your hands at the theatre of shite!
You will be surrounded by tourists who don't have a clue about football or the passion involved in it.

I attended our last 2 drubbings at the TOTD with the Manchester United supporters and I've opted out of a 3rd humiliation.

Mmm. I'm erring on not going. To be honest, I've done the "behind enemy lines" thing in the past at a few games (at Old Trafford as well) and it sucks as an experience. You can't leap up and celebrate or even shout encouragement to the lads and you have to applaud like a trained seal when they score against us.
I think I'll find a stream of the game and watch it instead - at least I can make my feelings known!

I sat with my Manure supporting mate in The Stretford End for the 5-0 a few seasons ago and was instructed to be on my best behaviour. I applauded the first 3 Shit goals. Sat down for the 4th and let rip an almighty "oh for fucks sake!" for the 5th. No one noticed really and I probably could have gotten away with being a bit more transparently Stoke. Really bad day!
