Bothered? You'll only be chilling in the stands anyway Shotton.
Its New Years Eve... I can understand why the management will want to keep a close eye on the players. It's not Stokes or Tonys fault that the Premierleague force the teams to play over Christmas and New year is it?

Well how they have been performing recently tones hardly going let them go out on the piss is he? Maybe if they performed better on the pitch then they would get more trust and respect.

I would take 10s of thousands of pounds a week as some sort of compensation for being forced to stay in a plush five star hotel on New Tears Eve. Maybe he'd like to be working in the accident unit this evening or the night shift at Tescos . Twat.

Keeping them hold up in a hotel after the blackburn game realy paid off. Pulis himself said the players were moaning.

It's hard to be overly critical of the modern day, young footballer. They've been led down a very privileged and sheltered life.
Every year they get trotted out to the local hospitals, handing out gifts to the children and you hear them utter the much fabled lines that they do. Most of them wouldn't know what a boil on an arse is or looks like, nevermind some of the more serious conditions some of the kiddies are fighting for their lives with.
They pose for the photo's outside the main entrances up and down the land every other week, they get up for work mid morning and are back in the arm chairs for David Dicko's auction routine - that's if they're not swanning around photo studio's, wine bars, bookies or brothels.
I want to lay into the bloke for being an ignorant, selfish, jumped up, spoilt little brat that he comes across but all I feel is pity.
Sometimes I'm thankful that I was wank at football. Sometimes though, I wish I was part of an organisation that paid me thousands of pounds a week and put me up for the night in plush 5 star hotels every other week.
Maybe the manager should start his own twitter.
"Driving back to Bournemouth for my tea, it's going to take me 4 hours. Thanks for the performance lads"

Moaning is always relative - I moan about my job all the time, but would do well to remember I'm lucky to have one. He has no idea how lucky he is, so to him it's a hardship. Not really his fault that he lives in a bubble so far removed from the rest of us.
I think his age has something to do with it as well. At that age getting wasted is your number one aim at New Year. Plus he knows he is unlikely to see any action on the field the next day anyway.

Yet another example that the vast majority of footballers fit the stereotypical, "haven't 2 brain cells", image. Shotton is obviously an idiot to put such a statement on the Internet, where the management will obviously see it. Footballers are in a very privileged position and when you hear them bitching about their "problems" it's a little hard to take in the current economic climate.

What an idiot. Not only is he moaning in public and quite clearly doesn't have a clue about how privileged he is to be in such a position - he's also having a sarcastic swipe at the manager as well.
Well pal, plenty of people having to work tonight - and they ain't all being put up in 5-star hotels or paid thousands of pounds a week.

Like someone said above, pretty much every footballer going is a fucking moron.
I can understand that a guy in his 20's wants to out on the lash but getting paid decent money surely compensates for his stay in a plush hotel.
