Does he need to be dropped?.At the age of 35 he must be coming to the end of his career. Also imo he is inaffective and the only thing we use him for is his throws, which none of them work anymore.

What utter shit. Do you watch the games? Rory is constantly chasing down balls. How many times do you see him making a defensive clearance? How many through balls does he play to our strikers? Do you watch his movement off the ball. He is possibly one of the fittest blokes we have at Stoke. He really is much more than a throw in. May I suggest you watch him more during a game before writing such crap.

He is only selected now because of his throw. Don't get me wrong I never tire of the throw, but this season the opposition have well and truly got it sussed. A real Stokie hero but Rory's days as a first choice should be numbered now.

Of course mate. We should always be looking for better in all positions. I just don't understand how some people see Delap as just a throw in, I really don't.

Delap has another 2 good years in him. His experience is vital. Ever notice how when we have Whitehead and Wilson/Whelan that there is a slightly bigger space for the opposition CM's? Rory knows where to be and if he was younger (albeit fitter) he'd be the first name on the team sheet for me.

Delap does do his defensive job ok, but he is slow, has the turning circle of the Ark Royal, rarely contributes to the attacking play and, play through balls to our front men,you must be joking. He cannot see a proper pass forward and usually ends up just giving it to our centre halfs who then get criticised for poor distribution. The bloke alongside of him needs replacing as well.

Delap was Stoke's Man of the Match on Tuesday. Deano has been poor for a few weeks now

Man of the match by an absolute mile against Fulham, the only player to actually turn up. Crazy that anybody would consider dropping him, especially when considering who he's playing alongside.

Rory was easily our best player in both of the last two matches, so yes let's drop him. What a wonderful idea for any team seeking relegation.
