I'm not one for picking on individuals - well much anyways but, apart from the fact we've now lost two homes games on the bounce (very rare these-days)
and, the fact that whilst we weren't at our best -we still made chances albeit playing a very dull brand of stereotypical football
And, Apart from the performance of the one true quality central midfielder on display yesterday (Danny Murphy)
the one other key memory I'll take from this game was poor Danny Collins who was excruciating to watch throughout, couldn't head the ball with any direction, trap a bag of cement - couldn't tackle - or pass and treated the ball like a hand grenade the whole afternoon
Quite simply, the worst performance by a stoke individual I can recall for quite a long time
step forward Danny Higginbotham= surely ?

Walters
Delap Whitehead

Fucking terrible mate! ;D And I totally agree, Higgy should step in! Higgy shows 'better' footballing skills and is passionate for Stoke unlike donkey shite Collins who dosen't give two shits.

I think you've shoved those pencils a bit too far up your nose fella. ;D Collins is shit Wilko is shit end of. He was pretty bad. In fact we've got two toss fullbacks, no midfield, two lamposts up front and a clueless manager. Other than that we're doing ok.

Can someone explain to me why Collins is being singled out. What part did he play in the two goals that we conceded? The first was a shot from the right side of our defence, and the second was from a free kick that Begovic should have dealt with easily all day. I saw at least four players: Walters; Jones: Delap, and Whitehead, who were worse.
OS.

Wasn't the best player on the pitch, certainly wasn't the worst. Typical that he's used as a scapegoat.

Have you seen the opening goal Oldone?
For a natural centre half (yeah right) that must rank as one of the worst defensive headers I have ever seen, particularly when you consider that he wasn't even being challenged.
Walters was equally culpable but there is no doubt that the two worst players we have in our side combined to gift the opening goal. Both could and should have done better and had they done so, Baird would never have had the opportunity to shoot in the first place.

I wouldnt say our managers record over the last three years puts him in the clueless category that's just plain thick Tony. On saturday's debacle, it is perfectly legitimate to call him 'Clueless Pulis'. I've not seen such an inept managerial performace since the Preston Xmas home game. And that was also a product of 'Clueless Pulis'. Sometimes he does good; other times he's as wank as the players he selects in the wrong positions. OS.

Fuck off, Straightjacket Kid. The bloke cleared the ball out of the danger area. The fact that Baird was not closed down was the problem, not the header. What did you expect Collins to do? Head it to the centre cirtle? You're just being a particularly obstroculous bastard because Pulis fucked it up. OS.

I saw umpteen misplaced headers from all the defenders on Saturday. Just because this particular one led to the goal because it was a terrific stroke from Baird, who should have been closed down anyway, would suggest that you have an ulterior motive regarding Collins. No, I don't think he's very good, either, but he's not the Devil Incarnate some of you are making him out to be, and I certainly wouldn't place the blame on him for that goal. OS.

Want to borrow a straight jacket? You're fucking nuts you are! By your reckoning, had Collins headed it to the halfway line, and Baird has scored from there, he would still have headed into the 'danger area'. Collins got rid of the ball. Baird should have been closed down. He wasn't, and was allowed a free shot on goal. It was a great strike. The ball is in the back of the net. Oh yeahhhh!!! Let's all blame Collins, eh! After all, he did touch the ball during the build up to the goal. Well, he actually headed it out of the danger zone which was the proper danger zone, which has now become a debatable topic of just what is a danger zone. I can't fault your twisted fucking logic. I'm surprised you haven't blamed fucking Boskamp. OS.

Well to be honest we've already had Higginbotham's performance against wolves 4 months ago being blamed for how gash Collins was on Saturday so I wouldn't be surprised what the nutters come up with next. I'll trust my own eyes and that of four or five different newspaper reports on the incident, not the warblings of a man who went to bum a Dutchman because he hates a Welshaman rather than watch his team gain promotion
