Tony Pulis thinks he's a better striker than Ricardo Fuller, Tuncay and Eidur Gudjohnesn. Should he be in charge of a Premier League football team?

What trophies do you win for 'not being relegated'? Just asking? What trophys do clubs like Stoke win anyway? The best we can hope for is a cup success, we will never win the premier league because we dont have the money that the big boys have

What trophies do you win for 'not being relegated'? Just asking? Would you like it if we got relegated to League 1 so we could win the JPT a few times? That's a nice trophy I guess, better than Premier League survival..

Is it or is it not the aim of the game to win trophies? Unless I've grossly misread the situation? You are clearly arsed about winning trophies. If it bothers you that much then why originally pick Stoke as a team you'd like to support when you'd surely have known that in our history, we've won next to nothing in comparison to a hell of a lot of other teams Furthermore, as your incredibly mongatronic posts suggest and your obsession for trophies continues, if not winning trophies bothers you so much, why not piss off with your unrealistic negativity and support Man Utd or Chelsea who win quite a few trophies You're supporting completely the wrong club if you think all success is based on is how many trophies a team wins. Success is measurable. Success to us is survival in the toughest league in the world, success to a team like Wrexham is staying in business. Success to the delusional idiots such as yourself is merely based on trophies

I see where you are coming from Alex. Based on what TP has achieved for us, he should be in charge of Prem League Stoke. Based on day's like yesterday, where he picked the wrong team again, he should not be for very long. He is not a footballing messiah like many on here proclaim him to be.

The best we can hope for is a cup success, we will never win the premier league because we dont have the money that the big boys have They win trophys by not playing championship standard players ahead of Premier League standard players, by not playing CB's at LB, by having the balls to play a creative player in a CM position with a license to get forward and try to win you these trophies. One thing is a fact, you will never win anything if your approach has more emphasis on not losing than it does on winning. Winners set out to win.

I agree with this one As much as I love Stoke, I'm looking at Blackpool's fresh approach at things and thinking, 'it can be done by having a go'

Does anybody realistically believe that Blackpool will contine their excellent form beyond this season? They are the new Hull and look where the Tigers are now!!

I think the initial point is watered down by questioning TP's role and it's posts like this that really piss me off to be honest.
I feel that TP has some real thinking to do about some of his decision making yesterday but comments questioning whether he should be our manager make my views tainted by the daft bollocks that goes before it.
Fans have every right to question the gaffer after the mistakes made against Fulham but it doesn't in any way mean we want rid of him.
For me he shouldn't have left Ric on the bench, after he did he should have got him on earlier and generally didn't change things quickly enough. The final decision to effectively swap Deano for Wilson when we still had Eidur to bring on also needs seriously looking at.
Forget their goals, even if we'd drawn 0-0 it wasn't really an acceptable performance and neither was how we reacted to what went on during the game.

You can't really question whether TP should be the manager, regardless of some of his weird and sometimes quite frankly baffling tactics. As for Walters , he is a player of extemely limited ability brought in to do a certain job, which sometimes he does and sometimes he doesn't. He will never be goal machine, but I think most of us knew that when he signed.

For clubs like our's, the aim is to finish as high as possible. If you think that Stoke are going to win major trophies in the Prem. then I think you are going to be very disappointed. Should Pulis be the manager? YES

Alex, go and support Charlton, Southampton,or someone of that ilk. I recall listening to 606 and their fans talking about the Manager getting them as far as he could.
As for winning trophies I agree with the sentiment, but there are 92 league clubs, with only 3 or 4 winning trophies. How do the other 88 continue to be supported? Why do people go?
With your logic wenger should be long gone, ancellotti should be fired, and as for Moyes, holloway, hodgson, mcleish, houlier, Bruce, et al, they should go to.

I think a lot of Stoke fans just want to see a bit of football and Pulis or somebody else spending the money a bit wiser. We could have signed 1 or 2 decent players with the money Pulis has wasted over the years.
The main thing is that the football is dire, it's the same thing week in week out. I would like to see Stoke do a Bolton; look at Bolton since Coyle went there. Same squad but how different they look from actually playing attacking football.

I don't REALLY think Pulis should go, he doesn't deserve that. I was merely trying to create a bit of debate following a baffling decision.
