Griff hasn't been playing well at all just recently but he's our captain and we need to give him a chance to turn his form back around again.
Come Griff we've all seen you play, we all know how good you can be! Lead by example fella.

Griffs form is worrying, but he isn't going to be dropped cos he's captain. just hope this won't prove costly come the end of the season

He's curently one of Pulis's "undroppables" regardless how poor he plays, which just goes to endorse what I think of him (Pulis not Griffin)

After the Preston defeat he said the team were determined to hammer QPR. Didn't exactly go to plan. Prove it this time please, Griff

It ironic really, stoke are in the best position they have been in a long time, and certainly the best ever under pulis (yeah somebody be pedantic and say we were 1 position higher last week)
the area that seems to be struggling is defence, the one area that pullis teams are usually strong.
we have on paper one of the, if not THE strongest midfield in the division, and you have to say quite possibly the same with attack, but for some reason they arnt quite jelling at the moment. I pesonaly think they are a little more afraid to lose than they are determinded to win, which can often happen when a team is top of the league, so perhaps dropping to 2nd or even 3rd at the weekend will give the players that little bit of extra desire and realisation they have to go or it, rather than just hold it. if you get my drift

In my opinion he over commits himself, dives into a tackle and if he doesn’t win it he is left stranded A very honest player but haven’t seen the form he showed at all from last season, we need our big players to start showing some composure and dig in

Every time I have seen Griff play this year at right back he has been easily drawn out of position. We all know he plays better at left back, why doesn't TP?

Let me tell you, all is not as it appears. A birdy told me that TP and Griffin had quite a humdinger there back maybe a couple of months ago, so TP would drop him if he thought he should, then again would he have to drop everyone that plays a short pass, that mistimes a tackle, that doesn't net a sitter........ then what about those that turn up an hour late for training, or not at all, or refuse to do fitness work. What i'm saying is we don't know everything that goes on, we only see what goes on on a saturday, and frankly some fans are completly incapable of understanding the beautiful game, they dont understand about anticipating a pass for example. Why is one of the most experienced players on the pitch getting easily drawn out of position? Why is he suddenly unable to pass the ball and why does he pass back to the keeper? Has this fella suddenly forgotten how to play? Look whos showing themselves to receive a pass... anyone? choices are lump it forward 50/50 who gets it or pass it to keeper who can then role out to either full back who can this time maybe make a successful pass. Ye maybe some of us shit it but often the players know what they are doing. Another point if a player plays a ball into a space for his team mate to run into to recieve it," great, what a ball ", if the second player is too lazy or to dumb to see and understand the ball coming forward, "o shit who was that to?" Have seen Griffin make these passes numerous times down the chanel but no one is willing to run and get on the end of them does that mean he has given the ball away? Unfortunatly he's not playing with Alan Shearer or the likes now, maybe he needs to start playing the obvious or now Shola is here (another player who likes to play the ball at feet )maybe Griffin will suddenly not be giving the ball away so much! Think about it!

totaly agree fly dont often comment on here but your ded right there has been a few grumblings hand bags and all but what i can gather the mood is good and positive in the dressing room and so it should be on here and on the terraces (are they still caled terraces or seating areas )

Sorry forgot to add my bit So Griffin can be forgiven for passing into empty spaces because it is the other players fault for not being there?

I think a big part of the problem is that we have a lot of provern premiership failures in the squad.
Just look at it
Fuller failed at Portsmouth and Southampton Cresswell Failed at Sheff. Wed, getting old Lawrence part of record breaking bad Sunderland team Diao failed at Liverpool and on loan at Burm and Portsmouth, getting old Delap was OK Southampton, getting old Griffin failed at Newcastle, Portsmouth and Derby, getting old Ambeoi failed at Newcastle Pearson failed at Derby Gally failed at Blackburn
I think a lot of these players have looked at the premiership and thought nah! I,ll stay where I am and look good!!
Because lets face it even the best of these (fuller and Lawrence) would be squad players if we were going to stay up!
