Like twisty said, job done, good one Tone - cracking second half, a lot of authority, dominated possession away from home. On the minus side, Blackburn didn't bring that much to the table and that was too many yellows, we're due a few suspension probs soon...
8 from me

6 - yes, it was a good win, however, the football on offer was rubbish. I pay to be entertained. I didn't feel that today.

10. An away win is one thing in this division, but to keep a clean sheet too is fantastic. I think a few people were wondering why he'd gone with Walters instead of Ric before the game started, but the decision was completely justified. And it's a sign of a good manager when his substitutes combine with the assist and goal to score the second goal. Happy days!

6....LOL must be having a laugh.
Pulis got it spot on today. Thought the 'football' on offer was ok. We dominated most of the game.
9 out of 10 from me.

...3pts away from home is always worthy of an 8, bringing ric and wilson on for that second goal was good management!

6 - yes, it was a good win, however, the football on offer was rubbish. I pay to be entertained. I didn't feel that today. If you pay to be entertained - then you watch a top 4 club, it's as simple as that. I've always paid to see and support my side in doing well - I honestly don't give a shit how we play aslong as we get the results. The last 3 seasons have been unbelievable in that respect. I find the rate the manager thing a load of bollocks really, If we'd have conceded in that period when we were under the cosh Pulis would get a 4, as it is he gets 9's and 10's just because the players did a job. Pulis' tactics are always the same, always, the only thing which you can rate is his selections and apart from Fuller not playing today he's got it right in the last few weeks. I bet he got shit ratings against Blackpool as well, what about if a couple of those shots which hit the woodwork or smashed into a blokes face on the line had gone in? He'd have got a fucking 10. ;D A managers a massive part of the football club, but the emphasis placed on them is a bit crazy in my opinion - we've improved this year because we've brought in Pennant and improved the side,I don't really see it as a change in tactics or philosophy from Pulis.

9 from me. Given the games we have to play over the next 9 days, it made sense to give Fuller a bit of a rest and he did lay on a goal when he came on fresh.
TP loses a mark because Whelan brought nothing to the game as sub - he lost possession too easily and when he didn't lose it his passes went straight to the opposition. I'd rather have seen Wilson come on in the more attacking midfield role with Whitehead or Delap to cover his back. I'm sure there is a decent player inside Wilson - certainly better potential than Whelan has.

7,for the Result. -3 for Starting walters. delap moving to left-wing. central midfield=abysmal. So, starting Walters and moving Delap to the left had no effect on the result?!? Interesting concept! The manager got it spot on - 9 out of 10 from me.

My opinion watching delap, walters plod around with better options on the bench who can play better and 'maybe' result in us scoring more goals is just a personal thing....that ok???

You don't think with four games in ten days, TP deliberately left Fuller on the bench to rest him before the two very winnable home games?

Of course your opinion is ok. Just a little surprised that you didn't think that the team selection had a significant bearing on the result.

As away performances go it doesn't get much more solid and comfortable.
I'd have started with Ric and I was a bit surprised to see Whelan get on but other than that it was pretty spot on!
Blackburn haven't lost many at home in the last two years and although they might start to lose more now we certainly weren't in any sort of charitable mood.
Great stuff, there were plenty of happy Potters faces walking away from Ewood today!

No problem with leaving Ric out ... I wouldn't be surprised to see him and KJ start at some point this week, in one or even both of the home games and I guess TP wanted to make sure that he gets the maximum out of Fuller when he does.
I didn't like the Whelan sub however.
I fully expected Walters to move over to the left, with Ric coming on up top.
Whelan was woeful when he came on and with Rory moving out to the left we initially seemed to lose the upper hand and I was worried we'd handed the initiative to Blackburn as they immediately seemed to gain control as we lost our shape.
It didn't last and as it turned out it didn't matter but to be honest I really didn't like the look of us immediately after the initial substitution.
Good solid win in the end though.

9 from me as nobody's perfect But what a day to be a Stokie! I was there 2 years ago when we lost 3-0 And I was there last year in a entertaining end to end 0-0 And to win 0-2 this year is immense ! So our record at Ewood is : W-1 D-1 L-1 And whoever give a 6 should try gentilmens club in Hanley that should be entertaining

Didn't like the team selection and it was a dreadful first half, however a win is perfect and it puts us on plus goal difference!
Well done Stoke!

Went to a difficult ground and collected 3 points, 2 goals and a clean sheet, can't ask for much more at this level. It would have been even better if KJ had got a goal and restored his confidence but it's a perfect start to a hectic Christmas period of games and hopefully we can build on it and go on another winning run.

I'd just mark the performance which I would total up at 7.
The first half was dreadful and even now would have been flushed from my memory if it hadn't been for the miss by Matty. Blackburn were equally to blame for a turgid half of negative clueless tripe that would explain to any neutral why both clubs get the press they do.
The second half was a huge improvement and again underlined how good we are when we are more positive.
