Completely missed the game today, unfortunately could not make it and could not even catch a stream on the computer.
I'll watch it in a bit on footy first but was just wondering how Jonesy and Walters did up front today?
Glad Walters got a chance but felt Jones needed a big performance today as hes been shite recently. From what ive read it sounds as though Jon did well today so good for him.
Also fantastic stuff from Wilson. Clearly capable of scoring goals and could be the answer to our midfield woes of the last few years. Only 23 as well. Great stuff.

Neither were shocking but it's clear that as a pair they don't really work.
We (obviously) looked far livelier when Ric got on.

Give me a description, ta. ;D Walters played a good ball to Ric out wide who pulled it across the box to Wilson who then took a good touch to get it under control before drilling it inside the near post from about 7 or 8 yards.

Says something when your centre half is your joint top scorer (in the league) though. Huthy is awesome, who needs strikers

Walters does some nice stuff and gives 100% each week. Jones should be the one to get dropped in my view. Been rubbish and very uninspiring to watch ;D His goalscoring record is poor considering the start he had! Nevertheless a great effort from the team today, really happy for Wilson, just seen the goal it was top draw. Walters and Ric combined very well.

jones was his usual "i',m a bone idle cunt" especially in the 1st half slightly improved 2nd, walters had a really good game and i'm his biggest critic at times

Walters had a really good game??...Maybe your expectations of him a lower than that of Jones.I thought Jones had an excellent 2nd half.

I thought both Jones and especially Walters worked very hard today. Even when Ric came on for Pennant J&W did all the running, but Ric has these special skills with the ball that none of the others have! Because of this he can create something out of very little! ;D

Just wish more for the 'unplayable'

They both played well but didn't link up well together. Walters played a lot of nice little passes out feeding the wingers and Jones has a good game bringing down the ball and flicking it on. They just don't seem to link up well together. I think occasionally Fuller needs dropping to the bench just as a bit of a kick up the arse, Jones could probably do with it as well occasionally but i'm sure we'll get that once Mama is fit.

The front two were effective today, if not spectacular.
Effective is all that matters.

Is Jones idle or are we just too used to watching strikers run their balls off to compensate for their lack of talent (Cresswell, Sidibe, Akinbiyi, Cooke)?
Imgaine how our fans would take to Berbatov!

Imgaine how our fans would take to Berbatov! I really don't get the whole Jones is lazy. Most of the time today he was playing as the front striker and was doing as much work Ric ever does, if not more. The one thing i'd wish he'd do more is run at players with the ball at his feet because when he does it defenders shit themselves.

Walters and Jones looked very poor today and didn't trouble the blackburn defence all day Jones has been piss poor for weeks

I admit I was disappointed in Jones 1st half, for me he didnt win half the headers he could have if bothered, didnt run after the ball which he could have got to easily. But to be fair he did come back and defend well at their set pieces. 2nd half he improved, still I thought he could have chipped Robinson instead of trying to go round him,but thats easy for us to see when we're in the stands and not on the pitch having to make a quick decision.I just feel Kenwyne needs to be stronger and more aggresive in his play and as another poster said run at defenders more.

We won, and Walters actually played ok, playing a role in the 2nd goal. So that's why. Wish people would see this and stop moaning about it, it was the right decision in the end.

He's not been piss poor for the last few weeks either, as he's played a role in quite a few of our goals, Wigan and Man City come to mind. People need to start watching fucking games

People need to start watching fucking games Sometimes I wonder what we expect from Jones, we have 2 wingers to get the ball into the box and that is Jones's forte, he is not this run around striker that Sidibie is or the industrious worker that Walters is. Get the ball in the box on his head he will either score or cause a situation that will end up with a goal. Sit Ric or Tuncay around him and they can do the leg work.

Jones did his usual, if the ball comes near to me ill go get it, otherwise ill stand around and wait for it routine. Walters did his best Cresswell imitation so far this season, did a LOT of running, but contributed little

I'm at a loss why people cant understand why Fuller didn't start?,we've got a hectic few weeks coming up and Fuller will be more effective against the likes of Utd,Everton,Cardiff if used in the right way.I dont expect him start against Fulham either so get ready for another i dont understand thread...

The funniest thing on this thread is your stupidity to say Walters didn't do anything when he played the lob pass to Fuller to set up Wilson for the 2nd goal.

Like you they are deluded and fail to appreciate the demands our system place on the lead striker.
