Dont think he passed it to another Stoke player all game, scored some great goals for us but hasnt had a decent game for club or country in a very long time and we should be looking to sell him and bring in some quality.

Should have kept Lawrence and got rid of Whelan.

Shame really, because against Blackpool he came on and never gave it away during his fleeting appearance. One of the very few who kept the ball that game.

Whelan has my eternal respect for the way he dealt with Ramsey when he broke his leg, in those moments he was everything I'd want my club to be.

MILES off the pace....very poor He's been poor for months, but still TP uses him again and again and again and again from the bench. It's simply unbelievable.

Yes nick, you know I agree, don't you? I'd like to see him from start against Fulham, paired with Whitehead. Delap to come in with his hand based rockets after 70 if needed.

Rory cant do 2 games in 2 days so a great chance to start against a Fulham side that are there for the taking IF we do our bit efficiently. God knows what to do with the strikeforce (unusual considering we won 2-0) Its pretty incredible now that we can win games by 2 goals even with strikers not combining particularly well. (tho individually sounds as tho Jon did well! Id definitely be tempted to give Jones a rest. Wilson in for Rory is a no brainer in my view.

for fooks sake, and how many were on the pace or able to pick out a pass in that first half? Hardly any of the fookers, why pick on Whelan when half the team can't find a team mate half the time. You are just like some idiots behind me, slagiing him off as soon as he came on, yet when Whitehead (again) and Collins (again) did exactly the same ,they never said anything Why do some Stoke fans have to have a player to hate and boo?

I actually thought he did ok 'Nurse, Nurse come quick he's escaped again!' Haha good joke . I know he gave the ball away a fair bit, but he looks more composed on the ball and always seems positive and wants to go forward. Definitely not good enough for the first XI but I thought he performed competently.

Whelan came on for a short time today and gave the ball away so many times which was poor.
He was no different to the majority of the team who had been on the pitch all game, they couldn't pass either.
Good result but a poor performance by Stoke as Blackburn were a very poor side.
Glenn will be off in January and I would like to thank him for his service to the club and such occasions as leaving Villa after he brought us back to 2 each with a late strike and Spurs with that brilliant goal for our first win there for years.
Good luck wherever you go Glenn and I hope you are given more opportunities than you have had at Stoke as you have been replaced by players of much greater cost and much less ability than yourself.

His passing after he came on today was truly shocking! I've never seen a Stoke player make so many awful passes in such a short period of time!

Must admit i was expecting either a straight swap for Matty - Tuncay.
Or bring Ric on and put Walters out wide.

We'll remember him for his distance shooting...now they were good Dave Brammer scored some long-range crackers. He had a success rate of about 2% too.

hopefully wilson and whitehead will play against the fulham IF delap cant do 2 games in 3 days. id rather see wilson play than whelan as his confidence will be high and is a prospect for the future unlike whelan who could be going in january if rumours are to be believed.
