I reckon 38 should see you safe but obviously 40 is the target to hit first and then have a crack at breaking last years 47.

I don't think the question is aimed at us par say, but i have a feeling with the league being so tight some one could stay up with a record low points.

Pre season, I labelled Brum as relegation candidates. As always, I am correct Wolves seem to be doomed. If you look at the form league, you will see Brazil and the Cartoons at the bottom. Either could go down. How about a West Midlands hat trick ;D I think 36 points will be sufficient at the way things are looking. That means four wins for us with half the season left. I think WHam, Wigwam, Blackpool and Blackburn are the other clubs at risk. Fulham will survive if they rid themselves of their useless manager.

Since the Premier league reduced to 20 teams after the 1994-95 season, just three teams have gone down with 40+ points:
1997 - Sunderland 40 1998 - Bolton 40 2003 - West Ham 42
I think this season will be similar to 2003

it aint about the 11 men put out on the pitch each week what about the manegment team from chairman to coach leeds can only dream of havin our backroom staff and team spirit well bowyer and wood gate took that a step too far newcastle another example if it aint right of the pitch the season they went down at the start of that season you would have swapped there team for ours I agree with you mate, I should probably have said better squads than us have been relegated before

It's hard to say, but 'mathematically' speaking, if everyone below us beats everyone above them and us, and there are no draws, the team third last NOW, will end up on 54 points. So, you'll need 55 points, as we breathe.
Personally, I think it'll be between 37 and 40 points, but it changes with every single game each week.

No one seems to have mentioned Fulham as relegation candidates! Agreed. Lets see how tomorrow goes but for me they are looking like they are in the shit. Too many players without the fighting qualities required for the battle and a couple of players heading past their sell by date.

so you think that is a good return for the money then ?? Well last seaon it would have been enough to better: Anelka Arshavin Bellamy Carew Cole Jerome Rogallega Doyle Kuyt Van Persie Crouch Dindane Fletcher Klasnic Zamora Kevin Davies Bendtner Keane Your expectations of how many goals strikers should score is way too optimistic chap.
