Does anyone else think the quote from TP below is taking a swipe at sorenson, or am i reading to much into it
"You're going to have to have a bus knocking him over for Asmir to get injured and risk losing his place," said Pulis.
"But if Asmir's form dips and Thomas gets back in, I don't think you'll see Thomas getting injured again because he knows we have a good, young competitive goalkeeper in Asmir."

Keeping both keepers on their toes your probably right but how it comes across is as if Tommy can control whether he gets injured or not

I think it's a dig, Sorenson really pissed TP off crying off with injuries last season...

seems as though keepers at stoke need lessons on how to throw the ball out to start a counter attack aswell

I don't see what's a dig about it. Basically he's saying both are good keepers, so neither can afford to get injured. Everyone thinks Tommy cries off too easily, but with regards to his back/hip injuries, he is getting older, and it can happen, and his arm got fucked up more than people realise at Chelsea last year. I'd rather have a keeper who's not quite up to fitness cry off then soldier on and not be able to stop anything.

I think Thomas can be a little precious at times and that last injury (serious or not) has cost him his place. I think Thomas now knows, if he didnt before, that we have TWO genuine first team keepers and if/when his next chance comes he will hang onto it that little bit harder!

Keeping both keepers on their toes ahh, if only he would use that psychology with the likes of Kenwyne Jones and Dean Whithead to "keep them on their toes" too. funny how he picks his favorite ones !!

You aren't in the bracket of " normal " fans, if you were, most people on here wouldn't think you were a Pulis-hating, doom and gloom merchant, who seizes the opportunity to have a swipe at the Manager and the players at every opportunity.

Nothing to do with favouritism faf.
Some people need to be criticised wheras other people need an arm around them. Some people like criticism in private, whereas others may prefer the criticism in the media.

It is a bit of a dig but a motivational one to let him know that if he got back in and got injured again he wouldn't automatically get the shirt back.
In fairness to Tommy he has been a bit unlucky with injuries.

Tommy has cried off with minor injuries and 'colds' before, leaving us in the lurch at the last minute. It was a little dig I reckon, but like TP says he wont be doing it again now.

Who prefers criticism in the media??? thats just ridiculous. I'm guessing he meant "Some people get a kick up the arse more when criticised in the media rather then being criticised in private." I don't think anyone likes criticism, that would be mental.

Can't win can he, he was endlessly criticised by some (no doubt the same ones as on this thread..eg Brave Sir Robin aka little miss contrary) for trotting out platitudes then when he goes off message for once they are crying their eyes out.
