If you really want to open up that particular can of worms debate then carry on. Both players are inconsistent, but one player is a consistent match winner. Is that because the manager trusts him? Is that because he feels wanted ? Is that because he gets game time. No, it's because he is the better player hands down.

Inconsistent? I'm sorry but everytime i've seen him he's always been very consistant. How many times is Fuller consistant? If you really want to open up that particular can of worms debate then carry on. Both players are inconsistent, but one player is a consistent match winner. And one hasn't been given the enough chances to be. No, it's because he is the better player hands down. Thats bollocks mate they are both as good as oneanother.

Tuncay has started 2 league games this season, how on earth can he be described as inconsistent? We have a truly talented player who has played for his country on over 60 occasions and we have people on here wanted him sold and replaced by someone like Cameron Jerome. Incredible.

How many chances does a player want or need? We're talking about professional players here, not Sunday league plodders. People talk about Tuncay as though he has been hard done by yet fail to mention the manager has given him a chance as a withdrawn striker, the furthest forward striker, a left sided winger/forward and a right sided winger/forward. He's given him chances to shine in four different positions! I draw back to my original point. He's been inconsistent aswell as not being the right type of player for Stoke. His performances bear that out yet some find it extremely difficult to swallow for some reason. I wasn't being overly critical of the bloke, just stating facts that have been presented to us.

Only started 2 games, but has made 12 appearances. We had the high's of the Manchester United game, then the low's of the last game where he gave away a fair percentage of his possession and lashed a similar amount of his crosses into the stands. That Blackpool game was the type of game he SHOULD have come into and changed the game. The crowd were struggling, the team were struggling, they play his type of football, play his tempo of football yet he failed to impose himself on the game. Hence me labelling him, fairly IMO, inconsistent and not our type of player.

HHHHMMMM is this the same Blackpool game when on my way out of the concourse was face to face with Ricardo Fuller who was clean through with only the keeper to beat who then, only known to himself tried to be clever and 30 seconds later we a 1 down and go on to lose the game? Yes and thats why he is inconsistant. Fuller has been and still is a class act for us and i love the guy. Tuncay is a class act who hasn't been aforded the same oppertunities as Ric. Thats down to Pulis and Pulis alone.(thats not a dig either at him).

With Tuncay starting up front, we lost those 3 games I mentioned. With Fuller returning to the starting lineup, we go on a 5 game unbeaten run.
Using fromafars logic, we would be starting the Under 11s by now ;D

What have International appearances got to do with anything? Joe Ledley has captained Wales, but nobody on here wanted him to sign in the summer. Ryan Shawcross has zero caps to his name, does that make him a poor player?
It's what they do in a Stoke shirt that really matters.

Last season, the Tuncay apologists kept going on about how well he played in the Cup against Blackpool. You can't have it both ways. It's like the Emperor's New Clothes, except some still cannot see that Tuncay is as effective as the Emperor's lovely new hat and coat.

Thats as maybe March,i still say Tuncay hasn't been given a fair run in the team in his favoured position.

Pennant. Great hair, ordinary player. Silly comment. Pennant has been a great player for Stoke this season. Runs his bollocks off and has an ability like Fuller to keep hold of the ball when you don't expect him to. Brings great balance to the side imo. When you think we have spunked 3m-5m on some pretty average players from Sunderland I'd be happy to throw 6m at Zaragoza for Pennant never mind 3m. He's another Ethers in the making.
