........ but I'm more anxious that we don't get another Beattie on our hands - i.e. Play well to earn a contract, not the same player after he's signed the deal. This gives me a knot in my stomach too TBF

Not sure what you mean Bayern - your second point is exactly why I have a knot. Jermaine has earned the right of an offer but past history says he is not he most 'reliable' of players one he is in a secure contract - hope this time he continues to show the talent he clearly has

That was point.

£2.6 million is a great price. Just right.
Lots of MLS players floating around, aren't there?

I've just watched a couple he scored against Oz with Schwarzer in goal and an absolute stunner for LA Galaxy against Kasey Keller.

Any news of the fee Grapey? If it's the £2.6m mentioned in the Mail we've got a real bargain.

If that fee is correct then that's a bargain! Can you imagine, Etherington and Pennant, for a combined fee of 4.6 million.

Love the Mario Balotelli hat talk on Sky Sports. What a hat. "it looks like a glove that you put on your head" from that bird made me laugh.

It is a very good price but due to his injuries I think it could be a fair one in the end. Hopefully this week just gone and the postponement may help on that front with a few of them.

Interesting! So we get the original price, loan and eventually sell (possibly) Tuncay to a foreign club. And then sign another striker. Nice. I'd like to see another right winger come in though too if that was the case.

Very very interesting. And you know. Its what i feared all along. I think this is very realistic indeed, and as much as i hate to say it. If Tuncay is going to be sitting on the bench every week, then its a deal that would probably be in the interest of the Turk.

If Tuncay goes as part of the deal to bring Pennant to Stoke I'd be over the moon.

If Tuncay goes as part of the deal to bring Pennant to Stoke I'd be over the moon. Why? We'd be bringing in a great player whilst also losing a great player. Not really ideal is it.
