I got ad far as watford before I knew, too late by then because there weren't any more stops until Euston where we got onto a train going back to stone. I got back about an hour ago. At Milton Keynes on the way back I ha to sprint across the platform because our train was about to be terminated but the conductor said anyone going to stoke get on the train across the platform.

St Pancras station. Got the next train back (1.25pm) glad I did by the sound of it (even though it cost me an extra £40-robbing b'stards)

I got as far as 2 pints and a big breakfast in the Brittania at Euston, as soon as we heard we got on the first London midland train out of there before the delays really kicked in

I dont understand all the problems people had getting back. I drove down and had got through Luton just to the end of the M1 with about 20 miles to go to the ground when I heard the match had been called off at about 1215hrs. I turned straight round and drove back and despite the heavy snow arrived back in stoke by 1500hrs no problem at all.

It was probably because the coach drivers had to stop, if they could turn straight round they might of missed the majority of traffic.

Luckily I decided to go last minute in my own car. I was going to risk the train at first but heard on news first thing this morning there could be problems on trains.

I have just picked my car up off the slip road on the a40 where I had to abandon it at about 1pm this afternoon.
I have been into London boozing with a few Southern Stokies, am staying in Hanger Lane Premier Inn and will travel back in the morning.
BMW's and snow are not a good combination!

Just got back. We got there in 2 and a half hours and it took 8 and half to get back. We were told it was called off as we walked out the Arsenal tube station. Fuming.
Can we a refund on travel?
The M1 was a nightmare, there must have 20 plus BMW's with their wheels just spinning like shit. ;D
4 inches of snow on the motorway, disgraceful.
