Apparently the new owners had bought in an agency to make transfers over Sam's head. <alarm bells> when will they learn?

Can't help thinking that without a reasonable sum of money that their wish for expansive, beautiful football might come crashing down to earth with one hell of a bump. For every Blackpool, there are more than a few Derby's. Blackpool have shown it can be done but are every bit the exception... Allardyce saved their skin last time they went down the 'tippy tappy' route with Paul Ince. Personally, I'm glad we've got a Chairman with his head screwed on.

Pulis may be stubborn but he's not stupid and despite being under no real time pressure he knows 'survival football' won't wash after three seasons in The Prem...

Even if we do fully evolve, the tits will still be out in force claiming they were right all along. Sad acts.

And West Brazil have become permanent fixtures in the Prem with their scintillating Samba style.

Well thats a fucking shock and im amazed at how some on their forum are treating the news of his sacking. I taught he had done a hell of a job considering he had to steady a sinking ship that Ince had left behind and Allardyce has made then a good mid table team. I can only assume owners have someone already pretty much signed up although i cant Martin O'Neil going there, maybe Curbishley if he promised a few quid to spend.

Just absolutely stunned by the sacking of Big Sam. To say its disgraceful is an understatement. This would be like our Tony being sacked after a run of poor results, same goes with Hughton. What the hell is wrong with football at the moment? You've got two managers there that have turned their clubs around. When Big Sam took over he had to drag a team that seemed destined for Championship football and has stabilised the football club as a Premier league club in a very similar way to Pulis. Hes played in a physical style but brought in some top players along the way who can play football. The achievments of Hughton speek for itself, but is apparently not taking the club forward. Then there are many other problems, you've got Mancini and Man City who are throwing money around for fun. If they win the title it will be a big blow for English domestic football. Absolutely disgraceful.
Then you have your wankers like Wenger who seem to think teams such as Stoke, Wolves and Blackburn are a disgrace to the game. No Arsene, wrong, you are a disgrace to the game. Mancini can fuck off with his comments n all.
Sort your life out.
Honestly lost for words re the sacking og Allardyce. Thank God we havnt had a take over, else Pulis would be packing his bags pronto.

Well, this makes no sense to me because they aren't far off the relegation zone so they haven't really left themselves much room for error if things go south under the new manager.
Plus how will they retool the team they have in the january window?
It could end up being square pegs and round holes for the rest of the season rewarded with a trip to Doncaster next year.

Ok mate, but let's not pretend your post was anything other than an opportunistic dig at the opposite end of the spectrum of our support from yours. Some folks will toast Pulis' (eventual) departure no doubt, others will forever hold him in their highest esteem for providing the City with pride, joy and hope - precious commodities these days. Focus your posts on the positives - we're all Stokies, not rivals...

Whether you agree with his approach or not, he has laid the foundations for the club to progress. If an Owen Coyle type figure came in after Pulis and developed our style then id welcome it. But Pulis would deserve the praise for allowing this change. I also think that in no circumstances should Tony be forced to move on. Even if the club are one day relegated under his command. What a manager, even if he drives me absolutely insane with his treatment of Tuncay, we should all be eternally grateful.

What a fucking ridiculous decision!
The work old fat head has done since taking over at Ewood Park has been excellent.
They were relegation candidates when he took over 2 years ago but last season in the finished top half!

So, they've got almost no transfer budget, the new owners have come out and said that they don't need money because they can always 'lease' players, they've just shelled out to remove Allardyce halfway through his contract, how are they going to attract a new manager who's any good?
