What is the course fella? Really emphasise your ambition for the course, what is the desire to study it.

He empties the crunch element of the crunch corner in to the bin, ejaculates in to the void and then combines the two gloopy liquids at a ratio that he finds the most thrilling (70:30 yog to jizz)

yeah basically why you want to study the course you've chosen then emphasise your passions/hobbies and most importantly why they're useful to you in the course you're taking, then add in any experience you've had on the course topic.
edit: i have no idea where you got 4000 words from, when i did it it was 47(?) lines...

Unless you're applying for the top uni's it doesn't tend to matter that much anyway. stafford... ;D Dunner worry too much then (not that I'm looking down on Staffs), as long as you show some kind of passion, and can string together a paragraph or two you'll be fine. Saying this from experience, I got offers from Durham, Manchester, and Leicester, then ended up going to Keele ;D

Don't bother, just go on Jobseekers. It's the same lifestyle but you won't end up in crippling debt.
