don't think so, originally before game condsidered a point to be good, not not after the circumstances and time of goal.
sods law says we'd lose the replay!
also, if we did replay, would fuller's suspension still come into play because it's a re-run of the game, or would it have counted as being over?

No. Cheating incompetent fookwits they may be but somehow getting three points of that game would taint any subsequent achievements this season.

I know what you're saying, Sheikh.
But would you turn them down if they were the difference between another season down here or the Premier millions?

I suggested on another thread that you could have a replay, but with special conditions attached - if we lose, then the original score stands, if we win that score stands.
We can't lose our point, but could get three. Wednesday can't win, but could salvage their point.
The only problem would be if the replay ended in a high scoring draw (coz of the goals scored rule) - i.e. it would favour both teams to keep the score, but Wednesday shouldn't be able to improve on their result, whereas we should be allowed to keep an improved result.

No You only have to look at West Ham to see how soon 'tainted' achievemnets are swept under the carpet!

i would prefer the full 3 points obviously, but if it was to be offered for the two extra points and free tickets to those who already travelled up of course then id be up for it definately.

It would be a gamble but the possible 2 extra points to be gained could prove more important than the 1 point lost if we were to lose a replay.
What i mean is adding 2 more points to our total would be more likely to affect the automatic promotion places than us losing one point would. Either way, a play off spot should be safe.
Although Shelton's point about Fuller is a good one - you would have to think he would be suspended again.

I agree with Dr Jeff as I can't see us being handed the 3 points.

A reply would allow Wednesday a chance to gain all three points, if we lost we would gain nothing from a game where they broke the rules.
In the end we all know it will be a fine and don't be bad boys in the future.

Owing to the fact that 2 loanies were sat on the bench, i cannot see how this will go in our favour.
They have breached the rules, but will escape a points punishment. Don't be surprised if a certain Mr Dave Richards still holds a fair bit of sway within the confines of Soho Square.

At most they will be handed a £2000 fine, the result will stand I think.

Rules are rules and they are there for a reason. Sheffield Wednesday broke those rules and now they must be punished.
Even if we went into the match with our own point still assured a replay cannot be allowed because Wednesday might win and claim the other two points on offer... some punishment that would be!
If there was real justice we would be awarded all three points, especially in light of the fact that one of the offending players scored a superb equaliser for them!
Unfortunately, the authorities will bottle it and my guess is that they'll leave us on one point, take Wednesday's point off them and hit them with a £3,000 fine, or something similarly insignificant in financial terms.
Wednesday will lose, but we won't gain. They don't have the courage to do the right thing.
