After a thoroughly depressing night after yesterdays horrendous scores from other matches and the GUTTING feeling of having conceded a late equaliser. (On eighty minutes the day was perfect!!!) I was almost mourning the fact that we'd blown our chances yesterday.
However a look at games left a study of the top five and reflecting on the very promising debuts of Pearson and Ameobi allied to the return of Fuller and Shawcross has once again seen my spirits rise!
The most wildly optimistic of us at the start of the season would have been very happy with a much worse position than the one we currently find ourselves in. Yesterday we were MUCH the better team for the first 70 minutes and in many ways Sheff Wed (they are a form team at the mo) was the most difficult game in our run in.
For the first time in weeks we played for large parts like a team that looked capable of promotion, keep that form and build on it AND WE ARE UP! Bristol City 41 70 2 Stoke 41 69 12 ------------------------------- Hull 41 68 18 West Brom 39 66 27 Watford 40 65 11
Stoke BRISTOL CITY Colchester LEICESTER Watford CRYSTAL PALACE SCUNTHORPE Blackpool BristolCity Stoke Sheff Utd PPESTON West Brazil wolves Norwich SOUTHAMPTON queens park rangers Hull QPR Barnsley Sheff Utd PALACE Ipswich
Despite it being a very poor day for the pair of us I reckon with the current positions and the games to play taken into consideration Stoke and Watford will be the top two.

My mate's a Watford fan and says that they've been shockingly bad recently - he really doesn't rate their chances of going up.
I agree that we should be able to, especially with our new signings and Fuller and Shawcross available again next week!

Agreed, Thought the performance was a improvement on recent games.Just thought the game was there to be won.Cressy should have made it 2-0 but if we continue to play like we did for the first 70 mins we have a cracking chance of gaining promtion.Really felt down leaving there yesterday as we heard Bristol City and WBA got late winners but there will be more twists and turns to come. Oh the joy of being a Stoke City fan.
