To get rid of this stupid 'never been given a run of games' argument, Tuncay started every league game in between the game away at Arsenal and the game at home to Blackburn. If you'd like the overall record of results for those games, it's LDLLLWDD. The fact is, he started up front in place of Fuller in most of those games and didn't look even half as effective of Fuller. It's been the same this season and when he plays up front, it seems that we don't see the best of the likes of Jones, or put in our best performances as a team. For that reason, it's Fuller every time, as he is almost like a spearhead specifically crafted for Stoke City. Tuncay is a very good option to have on the bench, but I don't think he's good enough to get into our starting eleven. He's a fine attacking outlet to bring on if we're behind or if one of our wingers go down injured and he'll do his job. SO HE STARTED 9 GAMES AND YOU MAKE A JUDGEMENT OF HIM?! UNBELIEVABLE. well what else do you expect people to judge him on ???

its you thats utter mad even boro fans said he was a headless chocken most of the time Boro' fans loved him...and hes seen as the messiah by Fenerbahce fans. This is what was once said of him by Brazilian legend (and at the time manager of Fener) Zico. "Tuncay has been a great loss to us, he was the one giving us the soul and the hope. Now that he is gone we miss that piece of soul and hope. He is a great person, and I wish him the best of luck in his new team. Even though he is now gone, I still wish he will come back"..... now this kid should be the soul and hope of SCFC but for some stupid reason he cant get on the pitch ahead of the likes of Jon Walters. (who is suddenly world class since banging in a penalty) fucking hell, i dont really care what anyone else says, i can see with my own two eyes. tunny has been pretty good this season, probably because he has a point to prove, but last season he was often letting us down

I'm a MASSIVE fan of the Turk but I would pick Fuller over him at the moment
Not entirely sure about the Jones/Tuncay question though as KJ has exactly set the world alight recently has he?

Since both play for Stoke then surely we should support both of them.
As it stands i would prefer to start with Ric but providing we get the results i'm happy to put my faith in TP rather than criticise or make comparisons between our strikers who all have their pros and cons.

Specifically i meant criticising players when in fact both are good.

Steady on a bit. I'm just telling you that he had a run of games for us (as opposed to this bizarre mantra that keeps getting rammed down our throats about how poor old Tuncay has only ever played the odd game here and there) and we weren't really up to scratch. he certainly wasn't as good at leading the line as Fuller. Some players get the best out of the players they play alongside and Fuller seems to get something out of Jones that Tuncay doesn't at the moment, whilst I feel that Pennant and Etherington are better players on the wings. I'm basing that on every single time he's played for us, all 36 appearances. By the way, is he actually Turkey's captain anymore? That's a quite serious question. Some more recent views of him from Turkey suggest he's not really idolised by their supporters as some have suggested on here, either. Anyway, it's not about his past or how his national team view him, it's about how he fits in at Stoke City Football Club. There's no anti-Tuncay agenda here. He should be on the bench every game and the first choice stand-in for Pennant, Etherington or Fuller if any one of that trio are out injured. That's just the way I see it. Personally, I find the whole debate a bit moronic anyway. It could be said that as Tuncay sometimes fails to get the best out of his strike partner, he fails to bring the best out of otherwise fine posters such as yourself Since both play for Stoke then surely we should support both of them. As it stands i would prefer to start with Ric but providing we get the results i'm happy to put my faith in TP rather than criticise or make comparisons between our strikers who all have their pros and cons. Indeed.

no it isnt, like i say i see with my own eyes and my judgement isnt clouded When has he let us down? many times last season he had awful games, i cant recall single moments to be honest but lets just say in many games he was putting our defence under more pressure than the oppositions

I disagree on both counts.
Pick-it was petulance but I didn't feel let down by it, if he and any other player wants to do that let them, they're the ones that look like dicks.
1000-he average last season I thought, I never felt let down by the way he was playing.

As it stands i would prefer to start with Ric but providing we get the results i'm happy to put my faith in TP rather than criticise or make comparisons between our strikers who all have their pros and cons. Indeed. Mystical, thats a fair post...and you are right re his form for Turkey...its no secret that he has had a massive dip in his form for Turkey since coming to Stoke....i really put that down to him not having enough time on the field. I think Pulis is partly to blame for that...our manager makes very few mistakes with team selection but i just cannot help but feel this was one last season....but anyway, its in the past....maybe its being a little bit ott to ask TP to start Tuncay every single week...but the point i'm desperately trying to make is that the Turk needs to play matches for us regularly and needs to be a big part of our progression because he is the TYPE of player we should be looking to build the team around. Hes quick, great vision, great invention, great footballing brain, can pass, can pull off the spectacular and also works seriously hard...a very busy player....but he needs to start starting games, hes not getting any younger coming up 29, so should now be at his peak...for whatever reason he isnt....and i simply put this down to Tone not having the faith to persist with him. He has one game where he doesnt have a stormer, i.e. v Sunderland (even though he was possibly our main threat) and hes out the team. I believe TP is starting to show more faith in Tunny, i.e. bringing him on the wing v Albion...apart from the Tuncay issue i think Tone has got recent team sheets bang on. Id just like to see Tuncay start games regularly. That is all.

Its a stupid poll devised by someone who doesn't rate Tuncay. oooh look only 10% of voters rate Tuncs lets get rid. I wonder if Liverppol have a poll of Torres v Ngog or Manu with Rooney v Burpitup or Drogba v Anelka I bet they dont. You know full well the outcome of the poll before the first vote is cast. FFS
