TP has never been Premier League manager of the month. I don't care if we jynx the next match, we won't get relagated anyway! TP winning an award like that would be well deserved.

It shouldn't be down to results though should it, surely a decent manger should be the one who changes a teams position or forces something to happen, not just because he has a few easy games on the trot! Mind you, that would mean they would have to actually think about the award and not just give it to the team with the best results in the month

Decent result tomorrow and Bruce must fancy his chances to get it. Not that I particularly want him to, like. Just a nonsense award that no good can possibly come of!

if we beat Man City then he should get it. Beating Liverpool, Birmingham, West Brom and Man City in a move takes some doing

You might be interested to know how this is decided. There is a panel of about 25 who decide both the manager and player of the month - mostly football journalists plus a few odds and sods like me. We get rung up and asked who we want to vote for. So there is no discussion between the panel members.
3 times a year it is done at a lunch ( very agreeable it is too, courtesy of Barclays ;D ) when there may be a little discussion. There is slightly more discussion for the manager and player of the season at the last lunch, but even then it's decided very quickly.
Personally, I do think many of the panel focus a bit too much on just results and not enough on the resources available to the manager, particularly for the manager of the season, which tends to go to the League winners. For example, if the season ended now, I would vote for Holloway - but I would be astonished if he got it even if he keeps Blackpool up after them being the biggest relegation 'certs' for years.
