Another who conner wait for the action to start
Just hope Andersons first ball doesn"t make it to second slip ;D
Michael Clarke is rated 50-50 at the moment, and I agree with Sgt that Doherty is a useful bowler, but having toiled out in India for over on over, Hauritz must be pretty pissed off
Not many test matches are drawn these days and 2-2 is a very tasty bet at around 40-1
Prior"s batting at number 7 could be a vital position for me
Just watched the preview on SS and it seems that there is a lot of rain about at the moment in Oz - just hope if Strauss wins the toss he doesn"t do a Nasser
Roll on Wednesday night 40-1 ??? please tell me where....currently only 6.2-1 on betfair....

England 5-0 is 40/1, don't really fancy backing that though!

i would never bat first in the first test] let broad and co at em first Were you an advisor to Nasser Hussain ;D As a local taxi driver told us after the Aussie's racked up 364-2 on day 1 in 2002, if you win the toss at the Gabba you bat first.

Len Hutton did in the 1954/55 series what Nasser did 8 years ago, and Australia ended up getting 600. Afterwards he got asked why he didn't read the pitch better and he replied: "Pitches are like wives, you're never quite sure how they'll work out." ;D

Andrew Strauss is to be targeted by Mitchell Johnson who reckons our skipper will crumble under a barrage of short pitched bowling aimed at his head
Didn"t seem to bother him when Brett Lee cracked him on the head, and Johnson sure aint as quick as Lee ???

The question is...will Bell perform? If he does i'm confident we have a great chance...if however he has a stinker and lets the Aussies get to his head then it could affect the whole batting line up...hes such an important player for us these days it would be nothing short of a disaster if he plays shit.

Never forget that tour of the West Indies....damn that was some performance...is he in the squad btw? Also as for Tuncay i think hes an opener....so much flair, craft ,guile and invention, i think hed be a fine stroke player too. ;D

Though Tuncay would most likely be better suited to the shorter format of the game. Maybe 20/20 he gets the crowd going! As for bowling...no...well...maybe he could do a bit of part time off spin...certainly no quicky hes too short.

Never forget that tour of the West Indies....damn that was some performance...is he in the squad btw? I wouldn't call Harmy a legend, neither did I think he was overrated. In the West Indies in 04 he was immense, best in the world at the time. I will never forget that ball he bowled to Michael Clarke at Edgbaston in 05, absolutely wonderful and a vital wicket in the context of the match and the series. When he was good, he was very good but when he was bad, he was very bad. He will always divide opinion, with people questioning his attitude and commitment to playing for England at times during his career

Thats only a probable, the side has not been named yet and probably wont be until the last minute.
On the subject though dont forget Bollinger is coming back from injury, however I cant see him being replaced, especially if the pitch is going to do something for the quicks as he is better than Siddle.

Aggers on the owd Twatter reckoned Bollinger could still be injured.

He bowled well against Tassie last week, tokk six for, but didnt do so well in the second innnings, so I would not be surprised if he was still carrying the injury, I just think they would be desperate for him to play.

Oh yes of course. Forgot Bollinger was coming back from an injury. I've only really seen Siddle and Bollinger bowl regularly in English conditions and from what I saw Siddle was better but of course Aussie conditions are very different and Bollinger does have a better record so far in Tests in Australia

Siddle and Bollinger are both quite aggressive bowlers, and taking injuries out of the equation it would be a tough call between the two
I see Siddle and Johnson opening the bowling and trying to get in our faces, with Hilfenhaus coming on when the shine has gone from one side, as he can use seam and a little bit of swing to better effect
Going to bed early tonight and getting up at just before midnight. Hope it isnt bloody raining over there
On the subject of test cricket, have been quite impressed by the application of the Pakistanis in Dubai in their series against South Africa.
Probably had all their poke on a 0-0 draw ;D

I used to but then got bored and gave up after about the 2007 world cup when random people i.e. Bob Woolmer are mysteriously murdered and Pakistan players decide to cheat. Kind of loses its intensity when you know shit like that is going down. Anyway can someone tell me what is going on these days with Harmy? And Flintoff as well? I also think its pretty stupid that half the England team isnt even English. ;D
