Four of us travelled down to the match yesterday and found the Royal Oak Pub near the ground run by two Asian blokes who were welcoming away fans.
The pub was a bit of a dive but it showed football and served cold beer so couldn't ask for more on an away day.
However soon a load of brain dead morons of block 19 ilk came in (around 50 of them) and despite some good natured fun and singing at first it soon turned to stupidity when they, for no reason at all other then being brain dead decided to start smashing the pub up.
The idiots began ripping the lights down from the ceiling over the pool table and damaging the cues and pool table and throwing items such as loaves of bread and glasses at the bar staff and fellow stokies whilst singing lets go fuckin mental.
A glass pint glass was thrown across the pub and hit a 9 year old child sitting next to me. These young scum bags all aged 18-24 years couldn't give a shit about anyone.
Congrats though to the middle aged Stokie who stood up on the table and tried to calm them all down. He didn't know them but he tried to plead with them to behave saying they were a disgrace and they were going to hurt someone. Sadly all he got was a torrent of abuse in return.
We then left as we knew trouble was going to start.
Yet again a few mindless pricks (some of whom post on here and are the same as those who caused trouble at Bolton) decided to ruin tthings for everyone else.
We are given some leeway and rope by West Mids Police and yet again we hung ourselves. I'm not suprised they then later cracked down on any misbehaviour in the ground after this behaviour by scum bag brain dead idiots.
Sadly these idiots think there is nothing wrong in their behaviour and couldn't care less who gets hurt or who they hurt and they then ruin it for everyone and are the first to moan when the Police and/or stewards take action against them.
The sad thing is there was not even a West Brom fan in site and they behaved like this just for the hell of it.
Time to bring back the away fan true supporters card and make sure these pricks wont be able to afford it on their benefits.
I am begining to not want to go away games and I certainly will not take my children to an away game again.
RANT OVER.

Dont know because the group of blokes and kids with them all immediately left the pub due to the trouble flaring up. Luckily the glass never smashed or could have had caused some serious injuries to the lad

Time to bring back the away fan true supporters card and make sure these pricks wont be able to afford it on their benefits. Fuck that for a laugh, some pissheads smashing up a pub has nothing to do with Stoke City FC. If it's in or around a ground on a large scale and fairly frequently then fair enough, look at reintroducing the scheme, but if the cards were brought back there's still nothing to stop the same people travelling down to a city, singing Stoke songs and smashing a pub to bits.

Disgraceful, band the lot of them. It started off as good natured fun with chanting and singing but by the time they had finished their first pints it quickly turned nasty for no reason I can fathom. As I say there was not a baggies fan is sight.

Why should true supporters like myself and my children have to miss out on away games because of being fearful of being hurt and intimidated whilst supporting Stoke?

It's interesting to see the other thread complaining about WM Police heavy handedness when we have numpties acting like this :-( I wonder how they would act if they were individually on their own.... My feelings would be not a peep

It is just getting really frustrating now having away days ruined by mindless thugs who have no respect for the club or anyone else.
I'd prefer to pay more and over the odds to go away games simply to price these idiots out of going.
£100 for Arsenal tickets sounds like a bargain as I know these pricks cant afford to go.

I didn't go yesterday in all fairness but someone else has posted about this same incident on here, but they seemed to be saying the culprits were much younger than 18-24, more like 14-20, and a few more seemed to agree that it was just kiddies who'd been let out on their own for the first time and had one too many shandies. It's not proper hooliganism, it's acting knobbish, and unorganised, knobbish children away from football grounds aren't an excuse to impose heavy limitations on travelling fans again. I'm sorry that you feel threatened whilst going away but if it's not in the ground, it's none of Stoke's business, and if it was bothering you that much, you could have left the pub or said something, but you did neither, so it seems rather unfair that you should call for the cards to come back.

Bollocks to that..... Send them to some dodgy U.S.A jail for lifers, let them try their "let's go fucking mental" rubbish in there (of which they wouldn't because they would be too busy whimpering and crying for their mummies!) and watch them get bum raped by the inmates...... I'll let poisoned monkey oversee this

That's my point, if he felt that threatened for his welfare and that of his kids, he would have left the pub, but he didn't, so he can't have been as bothered as he's made out to have been.

Bringing back the cards will not stop this. I know people that travel to away games that are banned. They just go for the laugh around the ground/pubs. They do not cause trouble I might add. All I am saying is that cards will not stop them traveling. Bringing back the cards makes us all look like thugs and look how we were treated by the old bill when we did have them before.

They were at least 18 as they were being served and I know the names of some of them involved. As I said in the post originally. I did leave and then spent over an hour standing in the bloody Mac D's waiting for kick off.

Sorry maybe a bad idea but its really annoyed me that I can no longer take my children and no longer feel like going away games myself.

Its becoming quite normal behavour for Stoke fans smashing pubs up, that was my first away since Bolton, where they had 2 pubs smashed up before the game and the harvester damaged after the game when Bolton fans brough that upon them selfs by goading them and running in there.
