I think he's a real unsung hero and doesn't get the credit he deserves. Thought he was great yesterday. Great desire to win the penalty, improved passing and he has a decent shot on him. The players all have trackers that say how far they each run in a game, and Whitehead is top of that. Doesn't do anything flash but does the little things which don't get recognised enough. One of our top performers at the moment.

Excellent again yesterday, really top showing. All action stuff and whisper it quietly but he's been seen breaking free of the "cage" lately as well! ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/ibnJJzaA6ZhfTOIekEAf.gif)

A very good player and as mentioned above a unsung hero, yet another player a certain amount of fans dismissed him as crap when he first signed.I think in time Walters will do the same and become exellent squad player for us.

He had a similar run of form last season after a shaky start, then tailed off again. Àt his best he's a real decent top flight performer, hopefully he can keep it going.

I thought his passing was absolutely awful yesterday, as was Rory's and that of the two full backs.
If your full backs and two centre mids can't pass a ball accurately, then we're going to be pretty much shooting ourselves in the foot with the progression that the rest of the team is making.

Neither Rory or Deano can pass it five yards, it's woeful. But still, three wins on the bounce. ;D

Great commitment and work rate, but not too impressive with the ball at his feet. Good and honest, but limited I think. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/KYqg3pYeaerc5lD_P7BR.gif)

I thought Deano was very poor yesterday to be honest.
Apart from the two centre halves and the keeper (who didn't have much to do) I am struggling to think of anyone that played well yesterday.
We won though, at that is all that matters.
All of our players gave everything and with the exception of Collins, I can't knock any of them despite not being at their best yesterday.

His passing is still poor tho +1 Great at tackling and breaking up play though. If the passing was better he would be fantastic.

Still can't pass the ball to anyone in a Stoke shirt passing forwards.
Put in a lot of work yesterday, can pass sideways and backwards very often up to 10 yards.
If more adventurous like an 11 yard pass forwards forget it, we've lost possession.
Some of them are easy passes like the one when Ethers was running into the left side of the West Brom pitch and he still couldn't pass it into all that space he was running into. Rory ran out of defense and made a good pass off the outside of his foot to him just as the West Brom player was about to tackle, thus leaving Whitehead in space as Rory had drawn the player out of the game and again given away.
Yes he has a good engine but if we had someone with the same and who could pass well going forwards then we would be much better.

Neither Rory or Deano can pass it five yards, it's woeful. But still, three wins on the bounce. ;D what about deano's pin point first time pass that helped set up the first pen? You can't just name one example and say how brilliant he is, because let's face it, as good as he has been these last few games he cannot pass a ball more than 10 yards most of the time. This isn't a post to discredit him, just a fact, he's been outstanding lately and deserves his place in the team. But to even consider his passing to be better than woeful is stupidity.
