TP is a good manager and doing a great job of keeping us away from relegation each year.. But Tactically for me he is still too negative. He hands the initiative to the opposition too many times when we lead & he looks to close a game out with 20 minutes to go. Bothroyd, Ameobi & Pearson should have been able to keep the ball in their half for the last 20 minutes even if they were knackered. We have to rely on the others or beat Bristol City and go on a winning run off the back of our current run of form, which is appalling..

It's difficult to say. I believe they sit deep because that is what TP wants. However, I have seen games where TP has thrown his hat down in frustration at his sides failure to keep the ball when under pressure and their unwillingness to defend higher. Pack mentality may kick in during these periods. TP has a good week to work the new guys into the shape he wants and hopefully by the time we play Palace we will have a system and tactics that maximise the resources we have available. Fuck, I sound like a textbook!

Worryingly we havn't looked good for 4-5 games now, IMO. Just wondered who is to blame Manager tactics or players shitting it.

Well looking at Wednesdays recent results they aren't push overs - they're draw specialists. In the context of the situation though the result today is sickening, i feel ill. No idea how i'm gonna get through the week again until the next game, its just awful!
However, staying positive, its still in our hands if we beat bristol - and i feel the squad is quite capable of winning the last 5 games.
I wasn't at the game but by the sound of it we weren't anywhere near as dire as against Watford so hopefully with fuller back, we'll get the win against palace and get us rolling again

I posted the other day to say that Pulis positive qualities had got us to the top 2 but that once the pressure builds his negative qualities would drag us down to play offs and ultimate failure.
I don't fancy us against Bristol C in the critical game and WBA and Hull have real momentum. I really don't trust Pulis's mentality in the pressurised situation of the play offs.

TP has gone back to sitting back on 1-0 again. At this point in the season winning 1-0 and sitting back is just not good enough. You need to go at least 2-0 up to be slightly comfortable. If you even thought about sitting back when in the prem we would get walked over!!! Thoroughly disappointed today. Is it always Pulis's instructions though to do that though. Sometimes at Stoke you see him waving his arms as if to gesture the players to push up and they still sit far to close to their own goal!
