No 1, if you had read the posts you would have realised that some people due to income, family commitments (summer holidays) etc do find the increase unaffordable. There are a lot of supporters in this area that would accept that these prices are very competitive but at the end of the day INCOME AND FAMILY come first!!!!

well there is a credit system so to be honest if people wanted a ticket they could afford one!

If only it were so simple as that eh! Just add onother £50/£100 a month onto an already stretched budget. Some families are having to cut back on a lot of things now. Wages are not keeping up with inflation; mortgages are crippling some families etc., ect.
You should never be so quick to judge how others manage their income if you don't know their business. Nogger comes second to family and home.
OS.

Old Stokie - you are correct it is unlikely that one supporter will have any idea of another supporters ability to pay and the cost of a Season Ticket is a big hit. However this season we had 8,000 ST's on a 15,000 average crowd which suggests that roughly half pay for their tickets on a match by match basis. That is why the monthly payment system came in. We have had 5 months this season where there have been 3 home matches and on a match by match - that is a big layout. The credit system allows an even basis month by month which is far less onerous. Yes some people may only attend 14/15 matches but at the price of the Season Ticket this year coupled with the Credit system and the likely Match day price they now have the chance to attend all the games at the same cost as the 14/15 games and probably at the same rate of expense from their wallet. The credit system was introduced solely to try to give the Match Day ticket buyers an even chance to buy a Season Ticket. IMHO it has done that.

I'm in the fortunate position of being able to pay for a season ticket outright. Sadly, I'm also having to pay for my son's because he has a very young family.
Even if he were in better paid work, it would be a struggle for him. I'm lucky I can afford to subsidise him, most people are not in our position.
How uncaring, judgemental and unsympathetic some people are!
You're effectively saying that unless we all buy a season ticket we're not "true supporters".
I really don't understand the mentality of sneering - and that IS what you're doing - just because you have a choice where your money goes and others aren't so lucky.

I've got a mortgage. I'm nearly 25. I need to save money too. My thinking is. If i don't get a season ticket, and go every home game, the club will get more money. Think about it. ;D

I said a few seasons back that until some money is pumped into this club i would not be shelling out for another season ticket and would pick and choose my games. Now the club have shown some real positive thinking and gone for it,so i shall honor my word and get myself a ticket. But its only because i can afford one. There will still be alot of people out there who cannot afford the joy of the little red booklet full of pull out thingys. We all have prioritys so lets not shame people into purchasing something they cannot afford. Do i get some Karma for this Cheers Grave

Yes the prices have gone up but you have an interst free option which doesnt cost a lot each month. I think thats brilliant, personally i bought mine outright yesterday but some people do have lower incomes so i think the club should be praised for realising this and giving people this option..

we all no its hard to afford one if your not very well paid or got other commitments we have all got commitments on one scale or another but if we got to wembley in the play off final that would cost the best part of 80 to 100 pounds just for one game for one person and people would find the money for that wouldnt they we take 40 thousand but we only have a average of 16 - 17 thousands supporters.
