Cant say im too dissapointed. Whitehead should have buried that chance today. I want to see Wilson given a chance....you can put your money on it being Diao tho. I dont think Whiteheads absence will cost us the game as such...its his replacement. If Wilson played then id feel confident...if Diao plays then...oh fuck. Imagine a midfield contest of Scholes v Diao. Utd will play 3 in the middle and Scholes will drop deep, so it won't be a case of Diao vs Scholes. It will be up to Walters to drop deeper and neutralise Scholes Spot on - they will play a 4 5 1 - which some call 4 4 1 1 with two wingers and Scholes commanding it from the back of midfield Personally I would play Tuncay as his key attribute is harrassing the midfield with the added responsibility of doing just that - KJ wont We need someone in our midfield to push up and harrass their midfield - sit back and they will pick us off

Whitehead's passing was abysmal yesterday ... Rory was the much better player of the two. Will Tone actually start Pennant against the mighty Man U tho? Might we look to keep it 'tight' in the first half and possibly see a midfiled somet like ... Rory---Diao---Whelan---Matty ?Im making a 5 hour journey back from Swansea to watch this...if i arrived at the Brit to find out our midfield is this id be absolutely gutted to say the least.

Wilson really does need to play in this game or else its looking like a serious amount of money totally wasted
For me Id go with Pennant, Wilson,Tuncay, Delap, Etherington and play Kwnwyne on his own up front
Never happen in a million years

It'll be Whelan to replace him. If he has a good day we've got a chance, if he has one of his anonymous days were fucked.

The radio ws 100% correct Bexhill I watched it with my own eyes unfortunately. I don't mind losing at Bolton as it goes, they have a great home record this year. What I do mind is complete and utter garbage , and that was provided by Dean Whitehead the 'Peoples Saviour' H agree with you about whitehead but disagree about boltons home form being great, imo its quite average, yesterday was their first win at home

Hhhhm Diao or Wilson to play? Who'd have thought Diao and Delap would have started a Premier League game this season? Me I had them down to play away at Arsenal You must lead a deprived life! I was hoping we'd sign 2 quality midfielders (Noble and Vorsah) but we got Diao and Wilson instead.

Ideally Wilson will play but...can't see it somehow against Man Flu. It will probably be Diao and Delap.

But in the real world, he's just a very average player at this level. And of course you make this great judgement on the basis of 11 premier league starts. Fantastic. Funny how hes played about 80 internationals for Turkey and has been their captain whilst also chipping in with over 20 goals. Whilst also playing the the Euro 2008 quater final. But of course hes nowhere near good enough for Stoke. I mean...Jon Walters is streets ahead at this level. As is Salif Diao (notorious amongst premier league fans as being utter shit).

Joe Ledley has many caps and has captained Wales. He can't even stand out in a micky mouse league!

It's based on his time here and at Boro. As well as a few times I saw him play for Fenerbahce and Turkey. When did I ever say he wasn't good enough for us? We are a pretty average team at this level after all? When everybody is fit, he shouldn't get into our team. But of course I'm wrong, Tuncay is a "world class" player and should be playing for Real Madrid right now.

Turkey are one of the best sides in Europe. They're really not, though. I doubt even Turkish people believe that.
