I'd rather see Diao and I think TP will go that way as he will put his foot in hopefully.

We need to get amongst them, we rolled over and died last year. Salif will kick seven shades of shite out of them and will hopefully break up their play, he did well against Fulham. I just wish we had a younger player who could break up play and put tackles in. A destroyer was a key signing we needed to make in the summer for me, we needed a destroyer and a passer. Diao and Wilson weren't my preferred two. ;D

Or Tone could even give the player we signed in the summer a shock game...i think his name is Wilson.

Cant say im too dissapointed. Whitehead should have buried that chance today.
I want to see Wilson given a chance....you can put your money on it being Diao tho. I dont think Whiteheads absence will cost us the game as such...its his replacement. If Wilson played then id feel confident...if Diao plays then...oh fuck. Imagine a midfield contest of Scholes v Diao.

Why would we miss somebody who is incapable of passing to somebody wearing the same colour shirt? If you allow teams like Manchester United to dominate posession, as we did last year, you haven't got a hope in hell.

Good, he's fucking shit. If Tuncay had missed that one on one there would have been 30 threads condemning him. Time for a change the lumbering donkey. He offers nothing, shit misstimed tackling and a 100% running around not breaking up play.

The radio ws 100% correct Bexhill I watched it with my own eyes unfortunately. I don't mind losing at Bolton as it goes, they have a great home record this year. What I do mind is complete and utter garbage , and that was provided by Dean Whitehead the 'Peoples Saviour'

Whitehead's passing was abysmal yesterday ... Rory was the much better player of the two.
Will Tone actually start Pennant against the mighty Man U tho?
Might we look to keep it 'tight' in the first half and possibly see a midfiled somet like ...
Rory---Diao---Whelan---Matty
?

Speaking of which, what on Earth has happened to Pennant's pace? Both his acceleration and his top speed seem very average.

Scholes will probably start against us and he did us good style last year. If we start the 'falling back' business, which is Salif's stock in trade, he'll do it again.

Whitehead shouldn't have been booked in the first place. But I'd play Diao for 50 minutes or so just to break down their play and keep it 0-0, then bring on Whelan or Wilson and go for it in the second half.

If Diao and/or Whitehead start against Manure one of them will be off the pitch before half time and it won't be because they have been substituted either. Both of those players make Paul Scholes look like Paul McGrath in the tacking stakes. H

It will be up to Walters to drop deeper and neutralise Scholes

Agree on both parts Dom, Whitehead's booking was soft to say the least. And I'd also be tempted to start with Diao, and introduce the creativity of Wilson with around 20-30 minutes to go.
