fair fucks to the people who go and follow wigan it isnt a footballing place. however i do wish they were relegated and teams like forest, leeds, and the 2 sheffield clubs were in the prem as they are proper away days with a decent clued up support. going to places like bolton wigan fulham is an advert for new age shite and since when did stoke become all high and mighty ? you have been in the prem a couple of years and came up with the mentality of hating man united and being very angry (abit like small mans syndrome) you were nothing a few years ago with a shit support now these kids following stoke for the past 3 seasons are beggining to pipe up with all this bollocks, in the process making themselves and your club sound very small time As has been pointed out on this thread, anybody belittling Wigan's support is out of order. But, whilst Stoke have always "hated" Man. United, no Stokie in his right mind spends half as much time concerning himself with Man. United as you do with Stoke. "Small time". Haha. Enjoy singing "It's just like watching Port Vale" if you score a week on Sunday. Have you still got your "Argentina over England" banner? If so, I can only laugh as I'll know you're under 20. the banner is UNITED > ENGLAND. not argentina ! when we supported beckham over the england pricks who booed him. we sung its just like watching port vale with 10 mins to go. you say stoke have always hated man united. but your obsessed with us. your forum is full of hatred for a team thats got nowt to do with you. and me being on here isnt saying united fans are scared/obsessed/worried about stoke. i rank you with the types of wigan

You sound just like a Man Utd, Arsenal or Chelsea supporter talking about a club like Stoke. Sad but true! I'm getting more and more concerned about the way some of (mostly younger) fans are becoming bit as arrogant as those arseholes we used to hate when we were out of the limelight for so long. The younger fans don't carry the mental scars which would prevent this ever happening to us that we do

It's oh-so like singing Munich; a pretty pathetic attempted wind-up. It's exactly the same mentality as "We support our local team", when you get down to it. Personally, I don't like it, but I don't get all high and mighty about it too...and I especially wouldn't if my club's fans were going around kicking bins in concourses. Plenty of "new age" childish behaviour from your fans. So what? You are no different to any other clubs' fans. Some of you fans sing songs from Soccer AM, some of them are "lads", some are women, some are kids, some never went pre-1993. And I know for a fact that certain games for you have been almost exclusively attended by "corporates" for years. The main reason Man. United are hated in Stoke is because of their glory-hunting fans who infest our neck of the woods. If you can't understand why that is so resented, then there's nowt I can say. I couldn't give a fuck what you think of Stoke. Let's face it, why would you remotely give one about us? That's why I can't understand why you are on here all the time? You devote hours of your time concerning yourself with a Stoke message-board, yet everybody else is obsessed with you? Odd. It's curious that most Man. United fans who come on here play the hooligan card. Presumably we are supposed to be impressed. Sorry to disappoint you, but we just aren't. Anybody who knows anything is well aware that Manchester United virtually invented football hooliganism and that they've always had one of the most active mobs in the country. It's old hat, though. Over the last 25 years Stoke have done as much as anybody on that front. So what? If I saw any Stoke fan posting about Stoke doing this or that on a Manchester United football message board, I'd think they were as ridiculous as you.

If I was from Wigan I'd support the football AND rugby teams.
I've been to see the England rugby (union) team more than the national football team, because an Autumn International against the All Blacks is more of an event for me than Ashley Cole & Co struggling to break down Switzerland in a pointless friendly.
Is there some weird rule where you can only follow one sport in Wigan or something? You don't tend to hear of such things in Leeds or Hull (which has TWO RL clubs).

Besides, we have always looked down on the majority of spporters from man ure, liverpool and arsenal. I believe tagging on to a successful club to give your life a bit of meaning is a much better indicator of small mans syndrome On a side note, have you acctually got nothing better to do than wank yourself dry over Stoke?

Give me Wigan, Bolton anyday over the 'shit', true loyal fans, I used to love going to Burnden was always one of those games when every man and his dog turned out for Stoke, anyone old enough to remember a game at Burnden mid 70s when some 'shit' fans turned up and were in the side paddock, Stoke fans legged it onto the pitch, passing Bolton fans who'd come on to have a go and straight into them cue mayhem for 5 mins, not that ICJ will remember it.

It's probably got something to do with the fact that you were born and live in Surrey are about 15 years old and have never heard of Jimmy Greenhoff that you think that.
