Well I am not sure the plans this year after the match but last year was a real shitter they hearded us straight on to a train back to manc Victoria and then hearded through manc back to Piccadily, luckily me and the lads made a slight detour off the platform into a nice cosy boozer

I've still got a Manc Uni student card so they wouldn't be able to shepherd me back to Stoke. I'm not sure what powers the Police have these days but I'm sure they wouldn't be allowed to stop me and my friends from staying at my "Uni mate's house in Fallowfield".

Yeah mate, will head into Manchester early doors and have a few around the Uni where it's relaxed. Stop there for a couple of hours then back to Piccadilly Station and take a couple on the train I reckon. If they're serving in the ground that's ideal. I mean I hate paying the extortionate stadia prices but for sheer convenience I can get on with it. Only two downsides to that are that I can't smoke in the ground (so the later there the better) and drinking on the way back again. If I feel confident enough that we can get there half an hour before kick off without running the risk of missing KO I'll be sound. Might even, at a stretch, get a Travelodge room in Manc and stay the night. Since it'll be my birthday do I can justify a bit of a spending binge weekend and fuck off worrying about trains etc. I'm sure last season it was £3 for a pint inside the ground, which is bloody good nowadays. Bolton station is half way between the beehive pub and the ground, so its pretty ideal.

All 5 blocks now on sale on SCFC Direct, however the middle 3 seem all but gone (literally 1 or 2 odd seats available in each). The furthest left block has 4 or 5 seats free and the one to the far right has a few rows available at present.
On the face of it I would say we're not far from selling out, and with general sale from Monday next week we will have less than a week to shift the extra 2,000 if we take the bigger allocation (that's if GMP even allow it).

The station you need to head for is Horwich Parkway, just past Bolton, do not get off at Bolton as it's a good way from the ground, get off at Horwich Parkway, it is right outside the ground and the Beehive is a ten minute walk from there.

I'm not sure what powers the Police have these days but I'm sure they wouldn't be allowed to stop me and my friends from staying at my "Uni mate's house in Fallowfield". Wouldn't count on it mate....when I lived in Manc from 2000/03, I was on several occasions made to get on a train to Stoke by GMP after watching Stoke at the likes of Bury and Oldham etc. I've in the past been herded onto trains despite my protests AND showing police proof of my Mcr' address, only to get off at Stoke station, cross the platform and then pay to get back to my home in Mcr'. In the words of John Barnes on ' World in Motion', "I aint no hooligan", GMP don't discriminate and will gladly swipe at you with batons, push you about and tell you to "come back and speak to me when you have this uniform on" regardless of whether you're a knuckle-dragging idiot looking for trouble or a gangly student wanting to get home to Chorlton for a Pot-Noodle and a wank. Cunt's Republic of Mancunia.

I don't really know how buying away tickets works, can you get them from the Hanley shop? I want 5 tickets but only 2 of us are season ticket and gold members, the other 3 don't normally go to games. Will I be able to pick up extra tickets with my season tickets?

Will I be able to pick up extra tickets with my season tickets? You will be able to get your two with season tickets mate but you won't be able to get the other three until they go on general sale but as they seem to be selling out rather quick, the best you can hope for really if you want to get five together is wait and see if we get the upper tier too.. Failing that if you know three other people who have a season ticket and are not going ask them if you can use their details to get your other three mates a ticket. That's about the best you can do really mate.

Will I be able to pick up extra tickets with my season tickets? Can only purchase away tickets form the ground, over the phone or online. If you can find 3 people with season tickets then you can use them, all you need is Name and post codes if you book over the phone, not sure on actually buying them from the TO.

Stoke should advertise it a lot more re. tickets. Yes it's on the official site, but it should be all over the sentinel and alike to say that tickets are available, large following going, get behind the potters etc. Not everyone has the internet, and even those that do may not access the official site all that much.
