With our current squad I really can't see this being a big problem.

He's getting booked so much because he's off the pace so much.

He's getting booked so much because he's off the pace so much. and he doesn't know how to time a tackle.

I'm no fan of Whitehead but for me he's done an important job in the last couple of games. Wouldn't say he say "off the pace" at all.
Worth his place in the team at the moment.

His work rate is tremendous but hasn't been at his best this season. I would think that him or Salif are a deffo for today. When you consider that we play without the ball for the majority of the game and his role in the team I think we can forgive him the number of cards acouple of which were harsh to sat the least.

I cant see the logic of wanting one of our first team players to be suspended. Gooaaaaaaarrrrrrrrn Deano! Runs his bollox off for the full 90 and always looks absolutely shattered at the end of the game. Great team ethic, no ego, top man.

Teams are wising up to it. Whitehead's job isn't to create and at the moment, in my opinion, Whitehead is doing the job better. At his best, Rory is the better player of the two, no question.

When you consider that we play without the ball for the majority of the game and his role in the team I think we can forgive him the number of cards acouple of which were harsh to sat the least. Steve One of the reasons we play for the majority of the game without the ball is because of players like Whitehead who cannot retain it. He always just takes the 'easy' option of passing back to a defender or goalie who just lump it up turning comfortable possession into a 50/50 ball. He did it all the time at Sunderland and was renowned for it there. That's why most of their fans were so glad when they sold him.

I really cant understand the rose coloured spectacle brigade defending the guilty , because hes GUILTY ,..guilty of being unable to pass , hes guilty of being able to tackle cleanly and precise ,hes guilty of certainly being unable to dribble the ball ,hes guilty of being able to head it , so what attributes does he bring ,is it just cuz tone says hes good and does all the unseen graft ,Ive never understood what that means .He runs is socks off i will give him that but its never to an end product unless its to foul someone .Like ive stated before stokies whom ive known for the last 35 years defend him when theyve crucified so many better players ,bare this in mind 3.5 mil to buy 3 year contract on 25thou a week no resalable value a no value for money while hes here , sorry to say in my 38years of following the boys he ranks up there with the worst .
