Interesting to see His Holiness, The Pope, being welcomed to our shores by one of his faith's apparent enemies, Prince Philip.
The Duke of Edinburgh is, reportedly, a Master Mason. Masonry undermines all religion and Pope Paul VI himself said: "The smoke of Satan has entered the Church", referring to the fact that Masonry has entered the Church.

Anything the Pope says is a bit rich though, considering he used to be a member of the Nazi Youth.

Why not, the Von Trapps didn't join the Nazi Party Yeah and look what happened to them, they all ended up gay and doing musicals for a living. Hitler > Musical theatre.

It became a legal requirement for German youths to join some time in 1939, he wasn't particularly enthusiastic about it apparently

I think if he allowed the confidential files on certain members of his priests who had been questioned over allegations of a sexual nature involving juveniles to be handed over to the Police then more people would hold him in higher esteem. So far he has refrained from doing this ,even after many appeals from affected families.
Flying halfway across Europe to pray in Edinburgh achieves very little ....handing over the names of serial paedophiles would.!
End of.

There is so much rubbish written about masonry that it must be the most misunderstood organisation in the country. Not surprising when people read the likes of Dan Brown and relay the fiction as fact. You have to believe in "higher being" to become a mason in the first place, so this would clearly not rule out catholics any more than it would rule out muslims. In fact some of the masonic orders are closely aligned to the church. Prince Phillip ? - wrong royal
