In Block 28 this one guy started going mental, he shouted "TUNCAY! Why are we playing this idle twat Jones when Tuncay would run and run. Fuck Jones off!" He then stormed out of the stadium, only for Jones to score about a minute later, we all pissed ourselves. ;D That bloke is permanently angry. It's usually Fuller who gets it - he still called him a lazy bastard when he came on as sub and helped turn the game! He also gives Pulis some serious stick. Laughed my balls off when KJ scored. The bloke is obviously happy to see Tunny missing tap ins and free headers every week as long as he runs around in circles a bit first. Be interesting to see if he looks suitably embarrassed when he takes his seat on Saturday!

I can understand it at night games where people have to be at work for 6am the next day I go to work at 5am. For how often we play night games, i'll stick to red bull for a day, and hope and pray for a last minute mental, just like last night's, to re-live over and over all day! Worth every second of missed sleep if you ask me! I'll sleep when I'm dead... City 'Til I Die!

can i just say that there are two sides to every argument we drove up from dorset yesterday 200 miles to watch the match we agreed we would leave on ninety minutes as any body knows it can take up to an hour to get of the car parks and when you have a 200 mile journey home you try to get a head start i have watched stoke for 35 years and can count on one hand the goals i have missed we were under the stand and saw the goal on the tv monitors do you wish we were up in the stand when huth scored you bet we do but would we rather stoke get the 3 points and we miss the winning goal because we have a 200 mile drive home we would take that any day

When extra time is announced we always go down the steps and wait till it finishes. I'm not going to wait till the end just to please the knobs who stand in the aisle clapping like seals letting no one out at the end,

those people pay to get in so do what they please.....
however i feel that those people who leave purely to cut abit of traffic are abit stupid. Support your team to the end. it looks awful seeing hundreds of fans leaving with like 8 minutes left ???
best fans in the league my arse

What pisses me off is the wankers who go early stand on the steps near the way out so everyone can't see.
I have never gone out early, never will.

Be interesting to see if he looks suitably embarrassed when he takes his seat on Saturday! He doesn't sit too far away from me. The way he was gesturing towards the pitch as he got up and left, you'd think one of the Stoke players had kidnapped his family, or something. He behaved like a complete moron and the ridicule directed towards him by a good number of Stoke fans was entirely appropriate. I hope he did miss the goals, the slavering cuntlobster.

I don't mind people leaving early, what does piss me off though is they then decide to watch the game from the fucking bottom. So everyone then gets up to go, and you can't see fuck all because the knobs in the queue block the view. This wouldn't be so bad if I was on row 13 or 14, but as I'm on row 28 it just shows how many people get up and go early. To save what? 5 minutes?

I've got a friend who left early in the first season and missed Mama's winner against Villa and probably one of my fondest memories in football. And he left again a few minutes before Huth's winner! Some people never learn

I bet it's great for everyone's view you're blocking too.

There are all manner of reasons as to why people leave the ground early.
Some are for perfectly valid reasons. Let me give you an example.
My mum went to the game following the death of my old man (1st game since his passing away) and she missed the Huth winner. Had my old man attended, he too would have missed the goal.
The reason...They take my grandads brother to the game and whilst he is relatively fit, and able to walk, his sight isn't the best and he panics a bit when stuck amongst heavy crowd congestion at the end.
Hence they leave the game when the 4th official holds up the added time board usually so he can get a relatively free and easy walk back to their bus.
I am sure there are any number of reasons for leaving early, but people pay their money so have their choice! I would never leave myself unless the game was over, but that is my choice and my choice alone.

Really don't understand this thread, what does it matter if people leave 5 mins early.......
People come in 5 mins after the game has started, because they are finishing their beer People go for refreshments on 37 mins People don't return for the second half until 5 mins after half time..
Each to their own, it pisses me off having to get up and down, but at the end of the day why be bothered about people leaving early

My drive home is only an hour or so so we stay to the end each game and then leg it to the car. Last night we left a couple of minutes after the final whistle and then sat on the car park for an hour without being able to go anywhere. Got home around midnight feeling tired but very happy. I wouldn't have wanted a long drive to Dorset feeling like that especially if I had to be in work the next morning so I don't blame anyone for leaving a couple of minutes early to ensure they get themselves and their families home safely.

There is a bloke on our row who leaves on 78 minutes during every game, it doesn't matter if it's a 3pm Saturday kick off, a 12:45 or a night game he always leaves on 78 minutes no matter what the score is. I'd ask him why he does it but he's a rite big bastard.

I've left early once (due to my lift needing to be at work) and Brammer scored a 25 yard screamer, never again.

Here is a list of times I have left early.......... Pompey away. West Ham away Middlesborough away Newcastle Utd away...........ooh, and Telford. I left all of these games with my good friends, the British Bobby. On several of these occasions, I also got to spend more time with the bobbies a month or so later, as they told K4's humourous antics to a judge and sometimes a jury, at his little courthouse picnic. They loved me, they told the judge 'everything' I said to them, in fact, word for word at times. Some of it wasn't that witty. It's always funnier the first time around. K4...Forgetting to shut his noise since 1967.
