Make sure you leave it a few weeks if you're thinking of applying. Otherwise you won't get it for being far too efficient.

Anyone on this message board could probably do a better job than the current ticket office staff at the moment.

I have bags of CS experience and a year ago would of jumped at this. In a job I like now, would still be tempted if it's similar wage but I doubt it think I'll make some enquiries

I'd guess the basic is around £12- £15K per annum, with offers of free away travel lumped in.

don't you have to be blonde and dim and be able to say "the credit card machine's not working at the moment" to person after person just after they've queued for 20 mins ? ;D

don't you have to be blonde and dim and be able to say "the credit card machine's not working at the moment" to person after person just after they've queued for 20 mins ? ;D Beats me why so many Stokies queue at the ticket office when it is easy to buy online these days. I accept that there ARE occasions when it is easier to go in person but those occasions are few and far between and queues ought to be a thing of the past. In the days when the only alternative was a phone call (and an expensive one!) I could understand locals going in person but the online system is (mostly) running smoothly these days and is by far the easiest way to do it. On Wednesday night I bought my Fulham Carling Cup ticket on line. On Thursday morning I bought tickets for myself and Luke 45 for Newcastle away. All three tickets arrived in the post on Friday morning. Very easy and at no cost to me other than the ticket cost.
