Wondered how many of our lads are in training camps this week and next? Hoping not many, this time, for obvious reasons.

Not forgetting we play on the Monday, this gives us perfect time for the players to gel, I know what I don't want though and that is an injury to any member of the 25 man squad who could possibly be playing for their country over the coming days.
Gives Jermaine perfect time to get to know the rest of the side, I can;t wait for him and Matty to link up, that is if Walters isn't going to be on the RW and is going to be a striker or a utility forward.
Exciting times ahead.

i have probably missed the answer to this question, but why are the games friday night? so that the next 1 is Tues rather than Wed and gives the players an extra days rest before the Sat prem games mate at the request of the clubs someone was saying the other day |

Especially when the second game is abroad, the extra day to get back to the clubs is well worth while. I suppose the downside is that it means no Saturday games which means fans having to take a day off work if they live away from the South East. But that is a small price to pay in my opinion. Friday night might suit the TV schedules better as well. |

Is Eidur retired from international football? Hope so. Tuncay is in Astana, Kazakhstan, so no chance of him being involved v Villa  Whelan too, will have two games, as will Asmir. Really hope we have secured Fuller and Jones a pass, need them two fit and ready to go. The official site couldn't be much worse could it - even the 'lads on duty' stories have gone now. They could pay Ted1965 1p a word and it would be full of new stories all the time ;D |

Thanks for that. I feel better now, as was worrying about Ricardo, who always takes so long to travel and recover and Eidur and Kenwyne.
Some of the above may not have played but it's nice to know that they will be available and, better still, not injured, while on International duty.
