Street parking mostly and the traffic wardens are around whilst your in the game so make sure you are parked somewhere legal.
There is the fan run car park across from the Kop (home end) but having never used that I don't know how long it takes to get out after the game.

Owlzat mate - will be dropping the wife and daughter off at Meadowhall before going over to the game with my 2 lads by supertram. Will be staying with brother-in-law and nephews that night, who are Owls, so I hope that I've got the bragging rights! Is the correct tram stop at Leppings Lane or Hillsbrough? Come to think of it, I'm more worried about how much the missus and little girl are going to spend at Meadowhall than the actual Stoke result......

Yep, you need the Leppings Lane stop, the Hillsborough stop is where the shopping centre is in Hillsborugh as well as several pubs which are definately not to be visited by away fans . I take it you'll be parking up in Meadowhell then and catching the tram straight through to Leppings Lane which is a great way of parking although just remember which zone you park your car in ;D

Cheers Owlzat, have some Karma! I was at Sheffield Poly 'bout 25 years ago and had a great time there (my favourite pub was "The Museum" near the city hall, but it was due to be demolished). Coincidentally my lad wants to go Sheffield Hallam Uni next year (it pisses him off when I call it Sheffield Poly!). I hope I don't forget where I park the car; mind you I bet my what missus is gonna spend would buy me another one! ;D

If you park on the Pink car park then you will be closest to the Meadowhall Interchange stop, although I would park on the Yellow or Blue car parks as they are just across the road from the Meadowhall South/Tinsley tram stop. This saves you having to trek through Marks and Spencers and across the smelly bridges to get to the interchange. here's a decent map. Meadowhall South/Tinsley tram stop is next to "The Source Conference Centre on the map: extra.shu.ac.uk/pathways/docs/THE%20SOURCE%20How%20to%20find%20us.pdf

For anyone else planning on doing this, they will clamp your car if you are parking here just to hop on the tram unless you have people in the car who are going shopping.
There is a car park however which can be used for catching trains and trams but don't know how much it charges.

Thanks for the tip owlzat.
I'll probably have dinner with the missus before I catch the tram, but how do they know whether you've been shopping or not? Do you have to produce a receipt from M & S or something on the way out of the car park? ???

owlzat, we've parked up at meadowhall for the arena and been parked up all day shopping before and have never been clamped. How do they know you're not shopping?
There are no barriers or anything on any of the car parks. Never had a problem at Meadowhall in many, many visits.

No receipts but they do have security camera's and so can see if you park up and head straight for the transport interchange. If your going for a bite to eat in Meadowhell then head for the Oasis (it's signposted within the complex) as that's the main food hall is where you can get basically what you want to eat.

It doesn't happen too often but I can bet on matchdays they will be more vigilant and it's better forewarned than coming back to the car with a clamp on it.
