Couldn't see this anywhere... Fantastic idea from the FSF. England playing Friday night so no Prem or Champ games on the Saturday so they're encouraging everyone to support lower-level football and go to a non-league game that day. www.fsf.org.uk/non-league-day.phpIf you register your intention to attend a game you go into a prize draw. I'm sure someone more in the know than me (Malcolm, gaz?) can tell you which games are closest to Stoke that day (Stafford Rangers, Stone Dominoes and Newcastle Town are all away) and we could get a few down there. Personally can't be there but would love to be there for it. Might be fun to have a few hundred Stokies on the terraces supporting a local team.

Excellent idea. I usually go and watch Barrow when Stoke aren't playing, but they're away at Bath City that day, so I think I'll pop along and watch Kendal Town in the Northern Premier League Premier Division against FC United

Potterlog - there is a list of games on the FSF site (follow the link). The two obvious ones local to Stoke are Eccleshall and Alsager Town.
Others not too far away are Winsford, Northwich Vics, Chasetown, Buxton and Telford

Hope it's a great success, an annual Non-League Day on an international weekend would be a fantastic idea.

Really thought there'd be more interest in this... people are always moaning about the lack of football on international weekends...

Buxton v Nantwich might be worth a visit, only because both Leeks are away.
