Our website has it down as Koroma as the scorer of the own goal. did you attend MarkWoolstanton? Yes mate. If you were the chap with the pencil and pad I was stood next to you first half. I know our keeper quite well and I guess he knows who knocked the goal past him. ;D An own goal and a last minute Boro goal is becoming a feature of our trips up there. Same happened last season in the 2..2 draw except it was an even later penalty last time around.

The last I heard was that he was having a run out with Kidsgrove Athletic after unsuccesful trials with Vale and Plymouth.

jezza, Mark's (and Helen's lad had better make it, as Dave appears to be the only goalie we have.

Craig Sinclair and Sam Whitehurst both live near me, I went the same school as Craig and I'm quite good mates with him; always see him about round Stone etc. He's quick and and a decent shot on him, I remember he was in county for hurdles too when he was in Year 8. Who are you fella?

K.O. for the Academy matches today is 11am. Huddersfield's squad includes Dean Windass' son along with the boy of Lee Sinnott who was tragically stopped in the process of transforming Vale into a non-league club. Now given the fact that the people running the Academy wish to raise the profile of the set up and would welcome support; why isn't there any mention on the Official site? I know there is "only" four people working on it but how long does it take to put a small informative mention up on there? I think the first team are in 10 - 10.30ish.

Mark, Hope David and the lads have a good one. I'm off to Betley today with the youngest lad training and playing his first league game tomorrow. Position? Goalie. Another one.
Cheltenham, where the big lad is, are at home to Stevenage today & they've also drawn Plymouth in the paint pot trophy.

This can hardly be a co-incidence with Stoke just having signed Jones? Hope he makes the grade.

Yes, but he plays in T&T. Wonder if his native language is French or English - with him being St Lucian?

Anyone know what the rules are about signing players from outside the EU into the Academy? I presume as they are not working, they don't need a work permit to play for the Academy. But if/when they graduate do they then need a permit or do we then rely on them having English or EU ancestry to get a second passport?

Good article that, which is a pleasure to see and read. Sounds like they were unlucky again. Is it a case of bad lack or are they missing someone with a clinical instinct?

Extremely poor second half performance when the lads let their heads drop in poor fashion after conceding a sloppy goal from a corner.
First half (and you don't get chance to say this very often) Stoke passed the legs off a side content to try and soak it up and rely on long ball breaks but couldnt finish with the goal they deserved.
The side is currrently looking good in patches but they are inconsistent. I expect improvement from a group that is still getting to know each other following heavy summer recruitment.
Tough games coming up too.

I saw only the first half in this match, which was largely controlled by Stoke. However Stoke lacked any real goal threat due to their strikers giving a substandard performance. At the back I thought central defence is not the best position for Hedley. He shows a lot of promise at right back and it is a pity that he is presently being played out of position. The acquisition of a good centrehalf would make a big difference to the team.

As mentioned previously the under 18s (predominately those not involved in the previous Saturday league fixture and therefore mainly first years) play friendlies on Tuesdays.
Todays fixture was against Chesterfield's youth team. Stoke won 5..1
