Have you ever thought he might not have been good enough at 17 to deserve a contract but knuckled down, improved remarkebly, matured as a person and now more than deserves one at 18? True, Dan. And Cuvelier seems to be more highly rated in the game than Moult was at his age. Cuvelier has caps whilst Moult doesn't - although it isn't cut and dried, as one is Belgian whilst the other is English. There is also the obvious point that we were trying to tempt Cuvelier to join us whilst Moult has been here for years.

I thought Koroma was from Chelsea! Well done to Stoke signing 3 Chelsea youngsters! Saw Koroma play in a youth match somewhere once for Chelsea and ran the show imho. Can't even rememeber the score or opposition but he was good!

Moult was 17 when he signed his contract. He signed it on the 19th of March and his birthday is in May.
How did they go on today?
edit-lost 2-0 to Leicester.

It's a joke that the only way we can find out the academy results is from the other team's sites There's a lot of interest in the academy now, and it's a damn shame there aren't player profiles and match reports on the official site

Being the sad urchin I am, I went to a Leicester forum and they had a post on there that mentioned the score. Not even the Leicester official site had this yet and the Premier League website isn't updating resuts either!

Craig Sinclair and Sam Whitehurst both live near me, I went the same school as Craig and I'm quite good mates with him; always see him about round Stone etc. He's quick and and a decent shot on him, I remember he was in county for hurdles too when he was in Year 8.

Howdy, im a follower of Middlesbrough Academy, watched the U16 and U18s games today as they were playing right next to each other. You lot dominated the U16's game winning either 5-3 or 6-3, im not sure which it was due to me watching the U18 game mainly. You had a large coloured lad up front that was so much of a handful every time he touched the ball the net got scared!
In the under 18s it was all boro first half, we play a very possession based passing game, where it doesnt get hoofed and it rarely goes long or early into the box. A short corner and shot was blocked near the line and as it was kicked it rebounded off the stoke #4 (a tall dark haired whote lad) and into the net. Stoke probably had the better of the second half and levelled when the #2 (a coloured lad) glaned in a corner at the far post.
It wasnt a game of many chances, and boro won it with a bit of luck, a shot rebounded around the box before one of our lads (i wont bore you lot with pour players names) sweetly struck it in....unfortunatly that was the 90th minute!
You had a centre forward (a white kid) who was around 6'2-4" tall a real handful.
Is there any way you lot can get hold of the Stoke team?

bunny it is all getting sorted and every member of staff right through the academy and U18 player will have their own page on the site soon but as you can imagine it ain't going to happen overnight.
SCFC are serious about it though and want to be the market leaders when it comes to academy website sections.

Why what do you want thme for mate Why do i want the team? Because im one of thse sad people that keep team sheets, and like to know what players ive seen so when they come back season after season i can see if they have improved or gone on to bigger and better things, or got worse and ended up playing for Port Vale or someone

SCFC are serious about it though and want to be the market leaders when it comes to academy website sections. Wouldnt take a lot to be one of the best academy sites, all the PL and football league clubs have utterly pathetic academy sections. Seems all the best academy based sites are made by football fans not the clubs themselves.

Hi Im a stoke fan living in north east & went to the games today. As boro fan says were on adjacent pitches- for some reason I watched more of the 16 game - we won it 5-3 I think. We had 2 big lads up front who were a handful- nos 9& 10. The best player was a left sided winger/midfielder No. 11 anyone know his name he looked useful. Funnily boros nO.12 was no taller than my 8 yo daughter he was dwarfed by most of our boys- the boro guys were convinced we'd smuggled a few 18 yo into the 16 yo team! As for the 18 yo game from what I saw boro deserved it we had a blonde haired lad who took good corners from one of which we scored. It was funny listening to pennocks after match talk- all the cliches came out- dont worry if you play like that next week you'll get a result! you must be sick now but its the performance that counts! etc- praise for 2 lads called lucas & jordan- most of the lads were laying down ignoring him quite funny really- as a few went off for a warm down/jog around the pitch he shouted DONT PULL ANY MUSCLES! much to the amusement of my daughter who said- LIKE THEY ARE GOIMG TO PULL MUSCLES ON PURPOSE DAD! anyway good day 90 th min goal a bummer but boro are well known to have a good academy team.

Stoke side yesterday for the benefit of powlay.
1. David Parton 2. Jordan Galloway 3. Zack Foster 4. Lucas Dawson 5. Alexander Hedley 6. Laton Wint 7. Jack Harrison 8. Jordan Richardson 9. Ryan Brunt 10. Unpha Koroma 11. Andrew Musungu
For the record I believe the unfortunate own goal was scored by Alex Hedley in a half where Stoke spurned three sitters and had the ball in the net twice but had the goals chalked off for offside.
Our keeper had a very quiet day as the vast majority of opportunities were created by Stoke. Boro only really had one spell on top after the shock of the first goal and had to rely on trying to hit Stoke on the break for almost all of the second period.
There are some promising signs that the squad most of whom arrived at the club during the summer are beginning to find their feet.
As said above, next upp will be a home fixture with Huddersfield. I understand the first team will also be in training that morning.
