Anyone else disappointed with Gally so far this time round? I hear the kinnell argument that TP's not using him properly, maybe there's some truth in that, but to me he doesn't seem to have the edge we saw last time he was here. Hope it's just a temporary thing in an unsettled side...

Said exactly the same thing during the match today. He made 4 or 5 unforced errors and certainly wasn't the player we had under Boskamp.

Disapointed me today. Lacked ideas, and was blowing out of his arse for much of the 2nd half.

But he did show a bit of creative thought in his passing and movement which was a nice change from the turgid huffing and puffing our beloved leader values so highly.

Think this is a temporary glitch, new team mates and a different style of play than when Boskamp was here. We know what Gally is capable of and im sure that the managerial genius that is Tony Pulis will bring him through. Gally for a goal against wednesday il have a 5ver down the ode bookies.

Sorry but I just don't see what he ever offers. Yes a few decent goals in the first spell, but far too lightweight, doesn't like being tackled and too slow. The fact that he still hasn't made it at Blackburn, and their willingness to now loan him out 3 times suggests Hughes sees no long-term future for him, and the fact that Preston had him and didn't keep him says a lot. For me a very over-rated Premiership failure. ( and before anyone gets back at me, yes i DID see most of his games under Boskamp so I'm not judging him on one or two games, or yesterday )

Nottingham- I dont know I see something there that with the right coacing and if he develops the right attitude then I believ that e will be a good player. Howver I dont like im as a forward and when I have seen him adopt A midfield positionhe looks like the player that we could effectively use in the nest few games.

it's called lack of match sharpness. Put two top quality crosses over in the 2nd half and is a match winner. If we use him enough I'm sure he'll have an impact between now and May. Unlike Cresswell who at the moment is bringing nothing to the party...........

Didn't explain his lack of fight though...
He couldn't be fucked, he was running to players, then was putting cowardly "pushes" in , fouling them instead of actually tackling them, and going for the ball!
Not the answer, as Tone says, a good "impact player", nothing more...

He wasn't very good yesterday but then again, so were most of his colleagues. It certainly wasn't the best game to make a judgement on him. Even Delap looked rubbish yesterday and he's been one of our most consistent players in recent times.

it's called lack of match sharpness. He spent most of the season playing for Preston before we had him so he should be ready to play. Unfortunately the player we had the last time round seems to have got lost. He's almost as ineffective as Parkin at the moment (starting and as a sub) so we really need another option in the attacking third who can make a difference. It's time for him to play Pugh on the left with the usual other 3 and then Bothroyd and Sidabe up front until the next match when Fuller comes into it!

His 2nd start in how many gamres again? Play him on the right like 2nd half and he was slightly better but first half he never got the ball enough to do anything with it. The few occasions he got he fucked up badly but eh we know the boy has quality,we have already seen this so lets give a good player support because my support for the likes of Sidibe,Griffin as a right-back are wearing thin.
Up to the manager to give him a run like 'HIS MEN' Diao,Sidibe etc who offer little in build up play or fitness or goals or creation when we are not doing any of this of late but Gally could just turn one or two of these crucial games left in our favour.

Gally like the rest of the Stoke players on the pitch yesterday were very very poor. Yesterdays game showed how much we miss Liam Lawrence. Our season has been built on set pieces, the delivery from set pieces was woeful yesterday. We need to get out of this poor run of performances now or it might be to late.

i agree with Mark, we are a team who are normally very good at set-pieces, it showed how much we miss the quality of lawrence.
However Gally should be given another chance, it will be interesting to see how he plays with lawrence and fuller back in the team.

i think Gallys easily our best option on the left. He can beat a man & he's a match winner. A regular run in the side & im sure his quality will shine though. he's a matchwinner. He proved that lasty time he was here on loan.

gallagher is a quality player when on top form, dont know whats up with him though. maybe pissed off for being on the bench more than being on the pitch, but surely this would make him want to fight for his place? i reckon he just needs more confidence, maybe a goal could do it, but he certainly doesnt look like hes going to score at the moment.
